On October 24 Comet P/17 Holmes, this 'Silent P' comet went into major outburst and was then visible with the naked eye and in major cities with urban lights. This is about the same time Pflugerville became known as a Texas powerhouse. On Halloween night, it was as large as the full moon at that time. It is now in the constellation Perseus and has just passed the star Mirfak. It is now heading towards the draconis star 'Algol.' Draconis meaning of the dragon. This is the most dreaded star in Arabic and Hebrew history and is at the head of the dragon. Holmes will pass directly over Algol and most authorities in astronomy predict a second outburst such as was in 1892. This will occur somewhere around January 21/22, 2008. The Hubble telescope is now beaming back the best photos ever. This is all the buzz in the astronomy blogs and everyone is excited. Check it out and if you have better info than I, let me know.
