great season for northshore......but a horrible game.....they played against judson, the way judson played against austin westlake in week 2 of the season. all those turnovers came back to bite them. you cant have 4+ turnovers and expect to win a game.

I am very happy to see Judson back in the State Championship, but i feel bad for those kids over at North Shore.....

I can't say that the better team won today but what I can say is the team that didn't make most mistakes did. You guys came out and did what you had to do to win the game and that's all that counts. Looking back to the beginning of the season not a one of us Mustang fans would have believed anyone if they had told us that we'd be playing in the state semi finals this season. But as the season went along something magical happened and the team came together. That coming together made for a magical season none of us were expecting. All I can say is Rocket Pride is one tradition we have yet to over come. Good luck next week.

Rice Stadium is in your own back yard. Judson had to travel 3 hours to get there. You had the home field advantage, were nationally ranked, and had the better athletes.......but, what you didn't have, was the better team.

Thanks playa. I don't know if you remember you and I discussing D1 athletes regarding the two programs last year. You guys have hella talent out there, I luv that #85 fullback, dude was a beast on tape and looked good in person. You had a great season. Congrats to your boys as well.

Our boys did it.............I knew they could but I must be honest..............when I first saw the size of NS.....I was like holy crap :eek: But our defense played tough, hit hard and caused the turnovers. This is why we play the game. I told you we should have played in the dome...... wind was definitely a factor in your throwing game:D

Considering where your program was up until the early 90's (if I remember correctly you had only one win in 1989 and Aldine had a severe blowout with you), and where it has come since then, I was real proud to see what you did back in 2003 after so many near-misses getting out of Region 3 after we met in 1996. I'd say you've got a real good chance to make it back to the Final Exam over the next few years. I thought for a while NS was going to maybe tie it all the way up in the 4th Quarter and send it into OT, where it may have been somewhat more difficult, perhaps, for us to stop you in the red zone, what with the 25-yard line starting point that you'd have plus the potent offense.

I'm new here but an old Judson alumni living out of state. I want to thank the classy Northshore fans who showed up here after such a heartbreaking loss to congradulate our boys and fans, it really means alot.

This was a good win against a very worthy oppenent. NS has a great team. The final score does not show how close the game really was. Judson capitolized on the NS mistakes without making a big one themselves. To the NS players and fans, you guys had a great season and have an outstanding team. Good luck next year.

Congrats Judson on your win over a very good North Shore team. We were pulling for North Shore and the R3 sweep. Didn't happen. I personally will be pulling for Judson next week. No particular reason, but I like the fact that you, as well as Katy got on the buses, traveled, and got it done. Both programs are rich in tradition with deep playoff experience.

Besides I think its about time R4 gets a championship. Not saying that you'll beat Trinity, just that I'm pulling for you.

The post may not have shown the most class , but it was, very true. The best team won the game. Hopefully the NS players learned from this experience. Even from way up in the stands you could see the cocky body language of the NS players at the start of the game, much like the big talented teams from Houston that Judson played back in the 80's. Judson proved once again it's not always the team with the most talent who wins the game. Football is a team game, and team is what it's all about. Congrat's to the Mustangs on a fine season, learn from it, and come back next year strong. Like they say "losing builds character" and after losing 4 games in the regular season, this Judson team is showing a ton of character in the playoffs.

No, the post he was referring to was the sorry post. He was responding to a poster that was not giving Judson credit for the win. Listened to the game on the radio as I could not be there due to a previous commitment, but from the news highlights I saw, Judson's D came up big and caused the turnovers. IMHO the way Judson's D was playing, I think Judson still wins the game if you take the turnovers away. Of course the final score wouldn't have been 28-7, maybe 14-7 or 17-14, somewhere in that range. Judson still had to move the ball against a very good NS defense after the turnovers. Just my opinion.

I was definitely surprised this past week. It was the first time I really experienced "different" posters...but you never know who the real fans are and who just comes on here once a year. That really makes me want to cry. Deandre #5 is a junior and was hurt last week. He is my jewel and he didn't get to play much yesterday. I truly with ya'll could see how he runs and cuts. He is awesome but not on a messed up ankle. Salinas #6 is a powerhouse on defense. You usually hear his name on just about every tackle. The guys have been very well coached and Coach A doesn't put up with much....works them hard on the field and in the classroom. Those two kids are awesome and both will be back next year. I'm glad they got some good playoff experience this year because I think NS will be back in the house next year (and even better). Hopefully, we get a good QB next year although ours could hit the side of a barn yesterday! They are leaders and good kids. I'm proud to say I was a teacher in this district up until this year and I love that I'm an alumni as well!

Seeing as the post everyone is referring to is my post not that I have to defend myself to you or anyone else on this board. But if you as well as he had bothered to read what I said I did give Judson credit. I simply said that I didn't feel that the better team won rather the team that did what it had to do to win the game. I'll take the moon pie. It's space-related as are the Rockets, and I've always regarded a Rocket trip to the finals as attempting a moon landing (or some other ultimate and worthwhile goal of a successful Rocket mission)

As for next yr. If Tillman is to take over @ QB, and the little stats he does have are any indication on what kind of QB he is then I think we're set. Boy it would be nice if McGinty were a jr. but unfortunatly hes not. However it seems that majority of our key players will return next yr!

No, my husband's family has early Christmas on the 21st so we are leaving for Irving. I would not have even been able to see NS if they went.
