We're 5 (some are 6) games into a 16 game season...lots of football to be played. And Dallas has already played all of their home-division games.

New York benefitted from a bunch of home games, but I think they're a good team.

Oh yeah, they're good...just overrated. The only team that is deserving of hype is probably the Colts....course they may have a tough game with them Texans! :D

I said it was cause for celebration when the Texans got 10 points on Sunday. I told people that I thought the Astros would outscore the Texans on Sunday.

That would be the Eagles in the Cowboys rear-view mirror....the Redskins are TOO FAR BACK!!!!!
I know, I know Redskins88....New York scored 36 pts (and there could of been much more) on a couple of fluke plays, with 3 minutes left in the game!
Heh, Heh, Heh!!!! ;)

football this year is showing that everyone is beatable. everyone has off days and everyone has on days. this can be seen in high school, college, and nfl. the redskins somehow came back to beat the cowboys but get slammed by the giants who the cowboys beat in OT. A&M dominates OSU but the supposively unbeatable UT shows weakness against OSU? i just don't get it. football teams are being so inconsistent this year that it makes it almost impossible to make any predictions of championships. it all depends on which team shows up at the games. cause it seems that most football teams at times can look like two completely different teams.

It's called lack of "heart"! A new generation of athletes is before us! When we were young our parents, coaches, teachers, counselors, and figures of authority preached discipline, character and heart. They were hard on us, because they wanted the best for us. Athletes today have been raised too soft! They're whiners, they give up in the heat of competition, they're premadonnas....the majority of them are too sensitive to the aspect of hard times.
Now, not all of the youth is like this, but alot are! That's why you see these steep changes in effort...when a teams up/winning everyone's laughing and enjoying the moment......when a teams down/losing everyone's heads are down. There's really no such thing as "comebacks" anymore! That's why it's unique to have players like Vincent Young, Leinart and Bush...they possess the "win at all cost" qualities, and most players under the age of 27 don't have that!
Are athletes bigger, faster and far more stronger? Of course...I have personaly experienced that on all levels (hs, college, pro)!
But the attitude of athletes have also changed, and as a whole, not for the better!

If he has been there, to the show, and even if he is an idiot (I know you're not, Great), he would know more about it by osmosis that you will ever know. Show some respect and give the man his props.

I haven't watched them a lot. Maybe they are. But I don't think their defense is as bad as people were led to believe. Skins had a terrible game. Mara had quite an effect on the Giants as well. If the Skins go on like a 6 game losing streak, I'll be convinced that they aren't good. But not until then, not yet.

I was beginning to believe Gibbs had turned them around, but that rookie tore them up in NY. Between ESPN and guys like you I actually switched my pick on them from NY to RED...and lost that one...LOL

I think he has turned it around....just they left the team in Washington....and apparently Washington cared more about 'winning one for Mara' then the Giants did....

The Redskins came up short against San Diego 23-17 in overtime. LaDanian Tomlinson(best running back in the NFL besides Alexander) scored on a 41 yard touchdown at the beginning of overtime to win it. Mark Brunell had a good day passing for 194 yards with a 22 yard TD pass to Santanna Moss and Clinton Portis had a solid day rushing for 87 yards and had 23 yards receiving but it wasn't enough to stop the Chargers. Washington will end up losing the division to either the Cowboys or the Giants and they have no chance at coming back to win their division unless they stop blowing big leads in big games they need most.

They actually won the turnover battle......but like a Skin fan (on a skin board) said....we're a #2 WR and a TE away from being a good offense.
Third straight week the Skins have blown a lead in the forth.
Redskins need to win all 5 (especially division games) to go to the playoffs.
