Looks like Tomlin will not play for Dodge next season. He decommitted and is reopening recruiting. Not sure why...I am thinking he is getting some interest from some other big schools.

Air Force, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Stanford, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest were showing interest before commiting to UNT.

In the past week....
3-star ATH James Hammilton from Cedar Hill committed as did 3-star juco transfer DB Kylee Hill.

not surprised by this at all...tomlin's a genius, he should take his brains (and game) someplace else.

He's a Great student, a leader and a state class sprinter...not to mention a head hunting linebacker...He'll be a real player for some lucky school.

I'm thinking that Tomlin has a future as a safety, because of his speed and the fact that he's undersized. Him, and Sean Spence from MNW, remind me of each other alot.

I hope Oklahoma State pushes hard on him, Lord knows we need a defense.

We are in dyer need of LBs, but we are running out of scholly's for this recruiting year. Tomlin is only a 2* so I wonder who he is expecting to come knocking.

Derek is an insanely smart kid. Expect him to go to some top-notch educational wise school. Such as Standford and play some safety.

Bite your tongue on Wake. I don't want to have to be rooting against the young man. (But Wake is a very nice school and would be a good place for him to be.)

ah, that was my friend i believe. yankee did not wear his letter jacket to the movies. i was with him though. close man, close. ;)
