RedRage00 started it when he said Judson misses the playoffs when the Spurs win the title and I went back to get the complete story today. I knew they went in opposite directions and that has pretty much held true for Duncan's whole career. Without further adieu:

Duncan years
2005 Spurs title and maybe no Rockets in Week 11
2004 Spurs 2nd round and Rockets in semis
2003 Spurs title and no Rockets playoffs
2002 Spurs 2nd round and Rockets title
2001 Spurs conf. finals and Rockets out in 2nd round
2000 Spurs 1st round and Rockets out in Round 1
1999 Spurs title and no Rocket playoff memories
1998 Spurs 2nd round and Rockets in title game

Pre-Duncan
1997 No Spurs playoffs and Rockets out in Round 1
1996 Spurs out in 2 and Rockets in title game
1995 Spurs conf. finals and Rockets title (Houston, too!) :p
1994 Spurs out in 1 and Rockets in semis
1993 Spurs out in 2 and Rockets title
1992 Spurs out in 1 and Rockets title
1991 Spurs out in 1 and Rockets in semis
1990 Spurs out in 2 and Rockets in finals
1989 No Spurs playoffs and Rockets in semis
1988 No Spurs playoffs and Rockets title

The moral of the story is we need the Spurs to lose for Judson to be successful. You'll never hear me complain about that scenario! :D

We were sitting there watching the Cowboys game and I told a whole crowd, "Hey the Cowboys won the Super Bowl the last time they beat the Giants 16-13, but that was 1993." That was an OT game, too.
