Looking at the standings in a few of districts in the state, many could have third and fourth placed schools with identical district records. What is the Tie-break procedure? Is this done at a District level or is there a UIL ruling. There must be a very knowledgeable fan out there to enlighten the rest of us. Of course, and at the moment - the District where this has most impact is District 5 and if SLC goes D1 or D2.

For most districts, it comes down to head to head between the tied schools. If there is a 3-way tie, it's usually decided by point differential between the affected schools. Just like Friday Night Lights showed, they sometimes have a coin flip.

Thanks - I should have remembered the "Friday Night Lights" scenario.

That's true but in District 19 (I don't know about the others), the first part of the tie breaker rules says that everyone has to play everyone else. This means that tie breaker rules are out for us since we aren't making up our missed week. It will all come down to a coin flip.
