We talked a lot about defense last week, but I think defense has 2 good friends.
1. The other teams bad offense always makes your defense look better.
2. Your good offense keeps your defense on the field less time.
If you don't have a good offense, it can start to wear on your defense. That might or might already be happening to Judson.

Our offense scores so quickly, it puts our defense on the field more often than a grind it out team....

Hmm. Interesting. Well obviously Judson must have a weakness. I wished Mac could have taken better advantage of SV's weakness, which (while it may not seem like it) is their passing game. Although that part of their offense is nearly perfect, any team who takes advantage of it and slows it down (like Churchill did, with 3 (?) interceptions and 6 total turnovers). Crippling that gives anybody at least a better chance of winning.

Conversely, you give up more points because the other team gets chances and you also give up more points because your defense is conditioned to being bailed out. Defenses love running teams. The best SLC can hope for is for the defense to make key stops when you need it. You'll never have the best stats.
