They were put in order of record...didn't see that it was alphabetical as well.....i'm way too tired. But still, all this "Mac being better than Reagan" stuff is seriously getting me mad.

I know they are ahead in a tiebreaker but I have just been listing them in alphabetical order for now. It's going to really get crazy when I start having to calculate the power points.

Yeah, sorry, i didn't notice it....I really need sleep.

Reagan needs to finish out 3-0 to go into the playoffs.

It should be a wild and crazy finish for the playoff spots. The enrollment will probably stand despite Judson's enrollment is 3200-3300 now and will be about 200-300 less next year. Reagan's is probably closer to 3200 this year, but UIL goes by last year's October attendance records.

People will be taking their radios with them to games to find out what the other teams are doing. Announcers at games will give more current updates from other sites than usual. Good luck on calculating power points. That is always a fun job. Look for teams in the hunt to pile up points if they get the opportunity. don't get upset if teams don't take a knee in the closing seconds of a game because of the formula to determine playoff spots after head to head competition.

I still think this district is going to sort itself out...two weeks from now we wont be worried about power points...

I agree mad fan. I think the mac vs churchill and the madison vs judson will do a lot of sorting for the district. I think the loser of mac vs churchill will most likely not see the playoffs. If Mac loses they could play the spoiler for a couple of teams though ;)

I think neither one makes it regardless of the winner... :D

My unbiased, totally objective view of how things end up:

Madison 6-1
SV 5-2
CJ 5-2
Churchill 4-3
Mac 3-4
Reagan 3-4
Roosevelt 2-5
Lee 0-7

OUCH mad fan! You shouldn't be putting bad vibes out there for your team. Everyone remembers Madison's strong finish last year. :p

It's funny how Churchill has all of a sudden become a better team? If they lose this week to Mac, will that mean they suck again and Judson still makes the playoffs.
It's all about matchups. I actually like Mac's chances against Churchill and Judson. The Madison game should be a classic.

Judson has no cake walk and it starts this week. Their strength is against the run so we'll see if they can stop Madison running game. I actually like Judson in this one.
Then against Mac they'll have to see if they can stop the passing attack of Mac. Only Reagan has slowed it down. Mac won't be able to shut down Judson like Churchill did so the score will be in the 20's.
They finish with Reagan and that will be another battle.

Here's how I think it's going to finish:

Are you kidding! I have no idea at this point. I just know there are going to be some great games to end the season.

I refuse to believe that this group of Madison kids will be manhandled by Mac again this year. They will also take SV. *

*-Disclaimer-My older bothers went to Mac...nieces and nephews to SV and I dislike both schools. :)

I dont think it was that sudden, all of the preseason polls had them ranked way up in the state. They just cant win the ones their suppose to.

Congratulations. This is the first post I agreed with.
So we've got more of "Reagan is clearly better than Mac simply because they pulled out a 2 point win, even though overall they have a lesser record" garbage.

Judson does have a bit of a rough road to the playoffs. I can see that. Mac desperately needs to pull off wins against the Rockets and Mavericks, and I almost think Churchill is a given. But I won't bet on it.

Mac showed against Roosevelt a vicious tandem between Udell and Craig, for those who noticed. While Roosevelt may not have a strong defense, they were certainly picked apart by these two. If that twosome can show again against these final 3 opponents, Mac should have a solid chance of taking them.

I'm only looking forward to the M&M Bowl this year. Should be a good one.

Considering that Churchill is the only team to have handed both SV and Judson losses this season alone, had they beaten the teams they should have, the Chargers would have rolled right into the playoffs. 'Tis a shame that they should beat the powerhouses and fall to the average teams.

They beat one power house in SV but I wouldn't exactly call CJ a power house this year after watching them Friday night! Judson's D is well, an average CJ D, which is pretty good, but their offense is horrid! 7 points against SV and Churchill is a pretty poor showing!

I think that 26-5a is as balanced as it has ever been and that right now the only sure thing is SV. The final two spots are totally up for grabs still. If I was going to give odds right now I'd have to go with Madison and Churchill for the final two spots.

I don't know about Churchill. They have quite a bit of work to do if they're going to make it this year.
