#8 on the 2008 Heisman watch list...http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/happy/happy0137.gif

Of course so is #24. Tyler Graunke, QB Hawaii...(lol)

8. Ryan Perrilloux, QB LSU
The SEC Championship win over Tennessee showed off just how talented Perrilloux is and just how much potential there is for greatness. Now he has to keep his nose clean off the field and has to make the tremendous Tiger team his from day one in spring ball.

USC so good they got 2 possible Heisman's QB's....Just gotta figure out which one will get it...

17. Mark Sanchez/Mitch Mustain, QB USC
Fred Davis will be gone, but Patrick Turner and Vidal Hazelton, along with a slew of running back talent, to make the new Trojan starting quarterback shine. Sanchez will have the experience, but Mustain is better.

The Watch List

These stars could be this year's Chase Daniel with the right breaks:

Rudy Carpenter, QB Arizona State; Jimmy Clausen, QB Notre Dame. Arian Foster, RB Tennessee;

Chris Wells is up there. And he deserves it. That kid is one heck of a player.

Come on, you knew it was coming. If they go 6-6 they are BCS bowl bound. Thank God they didn't take someone deserving's spot this year.

Nonsense that Harrell is listed above Crabtree on the list. Crabtree's a far better player.

I'm a Harrell fan and I think he would be a good to great QB at just about any college in the country. His numbers are of course inflated due to Tech's passing attack, but he has the skills to succeed in just about any offense.

But Crabtree is just an amazing talent. It's not a knock against Harrell, but a compliment to Crabtree that I think he's a better player.

he would be a decent qb (especially with time) but he would not have the IMMENSE stats he has now if he was on a pro-style or even simple spread offense at another school.

but yes..... crabtree is that damn good, i would not mind or be suprised if he pulled the hiesman next year.

Texas Tech has produced the top passing offense in the country since Leach stepped foot in Lubbock. From Kingsbury to Symons to Harrell, the quarterbacks are very clearly system quarterbacks. But is Tim Tebow not a system quarterback too? Or Dennis Dixon? Graham Harrell could not run an option offense, but neither of these quarterbacks could run the Tech spread. The fact is every quarterback is a system quarterback. Harrell throws the ball 50 times a game and still completes over 70%. He checks off half of the plays at the line and reads defenses presnap as good as any player Ive seen. For him to be considered a Heisman contender, Tech will have to beat Texas for once and be in the running for the Big 12 championship. I think he is in the right place on the preseason list.

if leach sticks around long enough for Briles to build Baylor...You're gonna see Briles Offense wreck the house on Leach's Offense ... BWAHAHAHAHAHA

and neither will beat Texas...

That's a mighty bold prediction. I wouldn't anoint Baylor just yet. He hasn't even coached a game there.

1. I get more nervous every day i hear about leach and ucla
2. I dont even want to hear about art brile's offense. He didnt wreck anyone at houston, hes certainly not going to wreck anyone at baylor. Unless he gets the womens basketball team to come out and play
3. Im not going to stoop to the aggie level and try to say anything back about the texas comment. Aggies try to justify winning twice against tech in the last decade plus, and i think tech has only beat texas once.
