My Sooners match up great against WVU, looking forward to this one. However, I see Pat White getting hurt early in this one. Oklahoma WILL be the most physical team they have played in a long time, and Pat White is very injury prone.

Ehh. White played against Georgia as a freshman and a good Georgia Tech defense last year. They also share a conference with Rutgers who has a top 15 defense this year, a top 5 defense last year and are one of teh more physical teams in college football. West Virginia themselves fielded a top 15 defense two of the past 3 years and practice every day against one of the fastest defenses in college football. I agree that White is injury prone (though his injuries have typically been the result of multiple games piling up and not just one game), but the dirt burglars will not surprise West Virginia with speed or physicality that they haven't seen before.

I don't know if Pat White gonna get hurt or not, but Oklahoma should take this one pretty good...IF THEY PLAY!

Oklahoma 42
West Virginia 24

Something like that maybe...

I agree that we won't surprise them with physicality or speed, but we have both. The teams I can think of that have done really well against West Virginia all had defensive speed (South Florida). I can't see very many exploitable weaknesses on our defense. We are definitely much better against the run than the pass, but we still have a good secondary, and West Virginia isn't a pass heavy team.

Yes, they have a top 15 defense, but look at who they play. Big East is a joke.

To give OU fans some idea of what you will be up against with a number of wvu fans, the father of star WVU place kicker Pat McAfee says his son is getting death threats and has had his house and car vandalized following the loss to Pitt this past weekend. :(

To be fair Doc, that was a pretty big choke job. 28.5 favorites at home w/the National title game on the line....

It was a horrible choke job (but I do admit that I enjoyed watching it.) I can understand the eers disappointment - especially this past Saturday with Carroll :cry. But that does not justify what those few fans have done to this young man. You almost have to go to a "game" in Morgantown, to understand just how bad the eers fans - not the football team - can behave. The things that are thrown at you, the language which is directed to even little kids; the damage to property. It is a very small percentage of "fans" involved.

It is the Big East... where half of it's teams have top 30 offenses. It's very much an offensive league, so any team that puts up good defensive numbers in that leagues is really doing something.

I was kidding of course. Worst I experienced was their cousins to the West in Columbus a couple of years back. Unfortunately stupid fans are pretty much everywhere and these incidents are pretty disgusting.
