Wright on 5A Single Season Rushing Record Pace!

If Marcus Wright has his usual game and SA Reagan advances to the State Semi Final Round it will all but assure that Marcus Wright will become the new single season rushing King in 5A history. He is currently about 300 yards behind Cedric Benson's record.

Too bad SA Madison's, Devin Thomas broke his ankle, cause that state record would have likely been surpassed by both 26-5A running backs in the same season. Devin was leading the state in rushing after the first six games of the season and averaging nearly 100 yards rushing per quarter played and more than 12 yards per carry.

Benson had 3526 yards his junior year.I believe that is still the 5A record. :notworthy

Where is Dimitri today? Haven't heard a lot about him after high school. at Arizona state, did not red shirt and has significant playing time his first 2 years. filled in nicely when their heisman hopeful went down earlier this year scoring several TD's and is a decent receiver out of the backfield.

Look for Arizona State's #31 in the Holiday Bowl running hard against that Longhorn D.:D:D
Starting the year as 3rd on the depth chart behind Sr. Ryan Torrain, Jr. Keegan Herrian, he stepped in when Torrain went out for the season in mid-Oct. and scored 3 TD's in come from behind victory over CAL.
Word is out he will really come into his own next year as the power runner to compliment Herrian's speed.

records are meant to be broken, but benson did some outstanding things while at lee- 3 championships in 3 years- benson leaves and hardly a decent playoff run in years
