I think so....especially if they come in loading the box in an attempt to stop Rogers....Smallwood is a more than capable QB.

Does Lamar's defense still dance on the field?

We had a crazy district back in the day...Tivy Antlers, Taylor Ducks, NB Unicorns, San Marcos Rattlers, Seguin Matadors...all we needed were the Hutto Hippos for the all time team names titles. I forgot the Boerne Greyhounds!

Saturday 7pm, Texas State University, Bobcat Stadium (San Marcos, Texas).

I'll be going to the Sv vs. Madison game at noon then I'll be heading this the NB game. Should both be good games.

In all honesty I think NB is not counting all their students because when my cousin was a freshman 4 years ago over there they had right at 2,000 people and to this day they still have 2,000 I think New Braunfels should have been 5A by now. This is the first year New Braunfels has had a good team in a while. I know they made it to state in 02' but this year seems different. It would be interesting to see what they could do against schools there own size.

Lamar is going to have to play a lot better than they have in the two games I have seen ( loss to Mayde Creek, win over Seven Lakes) to have any chance. It's also almost a home game for NB. I'd be very surprised with an upset.

I think students who are special needs can be exempted from the count or they count as .5.

NB's count of 2000 might have been their cumulative enrollment four years ago. Remember that the UIL takes an enrollment count for average daily attendance, NOT total enrollment, so NB's count of 1910 was probably accurate at the time. NB I heard currently has about 2200 students, with an avg attendance of about 2144 (from what I heard).

As far as the team goes, this is the first year in a while that we have an outstanding team. I guess by SV definition, it would just be the first year NB had a good year period, but this is NB's 11th straight year in the playoffs. The first 3 years of that streak were in 5A.

I heard that mentally ritarded students and handicap students were .5 students on UIL counts so you mightbe right.

Sounds like a great day -- the Waller - Dayton came should be a heck of a match-up as well.

Oh really? I have learned two new things today. one about the average daily attendance and two about the special needs kids. NB has had pretty decent teams in the past but not to the same caliber as this year. I believe they will take state. I am just curious how they would do against schools there size. I know Denton Ryan had like 1900 and somethin kids that one year and they were 5A. Just kind of curious why NB hasnt been bumped up yet. I think it would be awesome for SV and NB to start playin each other again. I'll be at both games this weekend.

I listened, but I've always liked Rodgers and Smallwood. Jacquizz had a record 5 TD's. Oregon State got a steal.

I know a guy on the LC coaching staff....Oregon St REALLY got a steal...last year they were down to see his brother James and someone asked them "Have you seen his little brother?" and the Scouts were like "Brother?" and the rest is history.
