Mac 35
Roosevelt 17

Darn, it took me an hour just to read all the post on Jusdson/Churchill.
Anyway, good game at Comalander. Another hard faught game by both teams with MacArthur coming out on top. MacArthur out played Roosevelt tonight but you have to give the Riders credit for not folding after the first 2 quick scores by Mac. Mac had this game under control with a little over 4 mins to go in the 2nd half when Roosevelt blitzed and zacked Udell causing a fumble and returned it 67 yds for a TD and Bam! 14-7 and we have a game. Mac went 3 and out and again Roosevelt drove down to Mac's 2 inch line but settled for a FG to make it 14-10 MacArthur at half time.
Roosevelt came out in the 2nd quarter and marched right down the field and scored to make it 17-14. It's funny how momentum changes things. Mac controls the game for all but 3 1/2 mins in the first half and with in 7 mins they are down 17-14. Fortunately Mac came back with another quick strike TD from Jonathan Craig to make it 21-17. The big play changed the momentum again and Mac's defense picked off a Roosevelt pass. Mac then went down the field to score again to make it 28-17. Mac added another TD (after another int by Roosevelt), this one with a QB draw to run the clock out. No one was in the middle and Udell walked in.
Still a weird game where one team controled the game for about 3 quarters but still found themselves in a dog fight mid way through the 3rd quarter.
After week 4 of the district games.......who knows who is going to win each week. :)

Not a problem. I try to give an update on all the games I go to. I was talking to my brother in law who was at the O'Conner/Clark game. Back and forth and O'Conner comes out on top. I'm going to try and make it to the Reagan/SV game on Saturday. Anyone else heading out there.

It was a good game, and Mac has improved. But I have to say, the "long ball" people talk about with Mac, i have yet to see. The 60 yard passes are actually quite ingenious.....let the blitz come in, roll out to the left or right, and screen pass it to Craig and have a few blockers there to spring him free.

Although I do have to air a grievance on a personal foul though.....when Roosevelt kicked it off, they pooch kicked it....Mac player waved for a fair catch however, he didn't catch it....it bounced off his chest, and as he was bending over to pick it up, a Roosevelt player tackled him.....refs called a personal foul.

But unfortunately, Roosevelt collapsed when Mac took the lead for good....they resorted to some very cheap shots....such as walking over a Mac player. As i was getting in my car, the scoreboard was 28-17.....why did Mac go for another score?

And I have to say....the Roosevelt QB is darn good.....if he's a sophomore, he's got a very bright future. I've never seen a Qb like that run with such power....he'd hit a defensive back and the DB was flat on his back. Although Roosevelt's running plays were beginning to get too repetitive, giving Mac a chance to stop'em. But the only thing the QB is gonna need to work on is passing....he underthrows'em too much. He's got a good tightend to throw to.

I'm thinking about it while I sit here and watch UT destroy CU! Vince young is the best player in the country and if he does not win the Heisman, the voters are incredibly blind.

It could be another really good 26-5a game!
