McKinner Dixon former Freshmen All-American will be back in black and red nex season. He only has 1 year left to play, but he will add a nice push up front for the Red Raiders. IMO Dixon was going to be a future 1st rounder 6'3 260 with 4.4 speed until he had academic trouble, but since then he has spent two years at the Juco ranks (Cisco), and had got his head back on track.

I wish my former teammate success it would be nice to see him on sundays.

Just a little FYI- When Dixon moved back from Louisiana to Lufkin in the 10th grade he went by Jerrell his middle name, but after a while in Biology class I decided it was time for him to go by McKinner, and after about a week I had the whole football team calling him McKinner.

Great news. Now if somebody could get Leonard Hewitt straightened out.

That's great news, I just wish he had more than one year to play.... but it's good to hear he's going back though.

Hewitt is around 240lbs. Sad to say, but Hewitt's career as a football player is over.

I would think McKinner has a couple of years left of eligibility?

I thought McKinner was looking elsewhere? If not, I'm not complaining!

I still think Dixon will be a high NFL (1st Day) draft pick. The young man is a stud DE and if he stays devoted and works hard on and off the field he'll be a super-star (IMO).

He is a very gifted athlete.

4.4, I don't think so. And I am a fan of the guy. Are we talking 40 yards?:confused:

He has 2 years of eligibility with Tech, 1 year if he goes elsewhere. I'm not saying he will use both years, because he is a stud, and could very well play on Sundays eventually.

It has been a twisty, timultuous ride with this cat. To go from Freshman All-American to no school to Cisco is as tough as it gets for a young man trying to ply his wares on the football field. i applaud his effort and perseverance. He has the tenacity to go after his goals, even after he fell down. He fell down hard! That is a winner in my book. Regardless if he went back to Tech, if Dixon ever made it back on the collegiate paying field, I have gained a lot of respect for the young man.
