Alvin didn't stop Lake all night but Lake stopped itself by fumbling the ball way to often. Sad to see Geno Blow worn down, banged up and Gilmer constantly coughing up the ball. Team is on a real bad slide.

Alvin ends up surviving 24 to 20. Makes a mess of 24-5A now, should be a fun finish.

I can't even describe how angry I am. A 14-0 lead blown in teh first half. A missed EP to make it a game we had tio score a TD in. We got all the way to the 20 and were in scoring position, Geno, banged up and limping, was money. Feaster was lights out. Then Gilmer wrote another chapter in his book on fumbles. If we could hold on to the ball this is a team that could be in 3rd playoff spot and would have taken Pearland to the wire. As if that wasn't enough my friend, my little sister, and I were almost jumped by a group of 8 Alvin guys. They surounded us in the parking lot and started yelling "0 and 4, 0 and 4" or "2 years in a row" or my favorite "F#&k you you Clear Lake S&$twipe." Thank God this big guy came up in his truck and told those guys to leave before he got the police.
PS we've lost 3 key players in one day.
Joe Clark and Andre Blow were kicked off the tream for disiplinary reasons. Backup QB Cole Mueller had enough of watching Gilmer continue starting at QB while he was obviously better and had a set of hands. Mueller quit because if he hadn't replaced Gilmer by now what makes you think the coaches will get there heads out of their rears and put him in.
I don't even know what to say next. So I'm out.

Clear Lake was a one hit wonder. Claim to fame is beating Katy and now is back in the pack with the rest of us dogs.

It is ok, you had your 15 minutes of fame.

Don't even get me started on this tonight. We're not a one hit wonder but we definetly are not a powerhouse. It was a great season and Lake will return to the playoffs not this year or next year but in 2007. Remember we have had a good number of good teams since the early 90's. I just don't want to get into the whole one hit wonder "yall suck like you always have" thing.

What's the makeup of Lake's team this year? I had my doubts about them at the beginning of the season because last years' team was senior laden. How good are the sophs and juniors that will play varsity next season?

Team has quite a few seniors but Gilmer fumbles way to much. They still move the ball well and teams are not stopping them. Doesn't look good for Lake's season next year if they stay in the option. Geno will be gone and I don't see anyone lined up to replace him. Special teams need work on Lake's side. No kicking game and missing extra points is really hurting them.

A wishbone without lots of execution is a fumble explosion waiting to happen.

As far as Geno's backup goes, i believe there is a freshman with alot of potential. He has great size and speed, although he lacks a bit of height. I'm unsure of his name though.
Gilmer... wow I am finding it really hard to restrain myself from completely blaming him. With that said, our volleyball team upset Undefeated Clear Creek earlier this week... hurray volleyball...
How'd did this happen!?
(well i know how... but WHY!?)

Lake needs to swallow the bitter pill for next year and stick with the option. What they need to do is get as many sophomores and juniors on the team as possible next year and start getting them some expereince. They need to bench Gilmer for the 832627 time and see just what they have in those other QB's because they sure don't have anything in Gilmer. The option needs to stay because teams as far down as 7th grade B are already starting to practice te option. When those kids get to HS they will be monsters. Don't ruin all this work just because Gilmer can't handle the ball. Lake is going to be bad next year because they probably will start Gilmer, again, and the hopes of the team will rest soley on Ronnie Feasters shoulders, unfortantley we have already proven this year you can't win with one good RB. Patience is the name of the game here, for the next 2 years Lake is going to be hard to watch.

first off lake will not be bad next year are center left guard and right guard are qb and both are starting rb this year witch they both have 400 yards rushing for the record clark didnt get kicked off and blow didnt either he was dressed in uniform last night. So thats already 7 returning starters on ofensse counting dallas grace catches everything in sight. defense wont be as nearly banged up with are returing lb nathan gordon who had like 20 tackles in one game that dude is solid are injured starting d tackle chad brandon zack curry are best strong safftey michel zertuchie another strong saftey who will be solid his senior season we also have shawn koritni at corner and are free saftey coming back thats 17 returning starters 07 will be a good year.
