ACU's lack of defense was just too much. Coming into today, ACU was the 2nd highest scoring offense in Div. II, but their defense ranked 76th in scoring and 104th in yards allowed. In the end, they just couldn't out-score Chadron State.

They blew a 29 point lead. Some real questionable playcalling. I have no idea why Coach T. decided to pass with under 2:00 left in the game when he was sitting on a touchdown lead.

I think Thompson being an offensive minded coach with a defense he doesn't trust, thought he would need more points to win. After watching CSU come back, I just don't think he trusted his defense to make a stop.

Scott finished with 382 yards of offense including 303 yards rushing and 6 TDs (5 rushing). Malone threw for 361 yards and 5 TDs.

The two teams combined for 1369 yards of offense and 149 points. Crazy.
