Saw on another board that Rockwall reported 1924. If that is true there is no doubt they will drop. Heath reported 1704. They will likely go to the district with HP, The Mesquite 4As, Heath and Forney.
Wylie will likely join the Garland schools, and maybe two McKinney schools will be in 9-5A.

Yea, I've just recently seen the number to be 1917 on another board. I talked to one of school board members and they told me it was around 1970. No-one really knows until the TEA gives the numbers to the UIL.

Look for Rockwall to go down to 4A with a possible district of:
Rockwall
Rockwall-Heath
Forney
Terrell
Royse City
Greenville
West Mesquite
Mesquite Poteet

There big growth in tha Rockwall area, so I am surprised. Maybe they are shifting boubdries to balance things. The Heath facilities look 5A size now. Doubt Royce City move up this time but it will happen and bet Greenville will go East. There are plenty of 4As to fill districts in the area. I wonder about Pearce, they are kinda a wild card in the districting maze.

I've heard a number closer to Ken's in the 1960's. Royce City coaches seem to think they're going 4A.

Interesting. That would move HP noth with Frisco/ Mckinney etc, Pearce had 1980 last time and with not much bulding going on they may stay down in 4A

Can Rockwall apply to be 5A with 4A numbers? I think Dallas Carter does that.

I dont know what the rule is, but they have to be in an ISD with 3 or more High schools to opt up, or something like that. Rockwall will not ask for that anyway...Why should they?

the UIL rule is in an iSD with EIGHT or more schools or EXTREME travel considerations

Yep. It used to be easier to opt up, but if they kept the old rules in place 5A would start to balloon a little too much.
