Naaman is a very good football team. They rely more on the run than the pass but have the athletes to get it done through the air. The defense is very big and fast. I think we could be getting ready to have a Naaman/South rematch in 2 weeks. The Rangers are for real.

they lean a little towards a running team, which is in our favor. but they will go deep on ya. defense is a good one, not dominating but dont expect more than 24 points. all in all we have to play our best game of the year.

Good Luck Cowboys!

I always like to see the DISD representing and love the fans and band.

We have had the pleasure of playing Carter the past two years and split the series 1-1 over the past two.

Go Storm!

that would be amazing if that were to happen - HBJ would never stop smiling...

Naaman is confident, athletic and very good. Miller is as good an RB as has come out of the GISD in the last 20 years. They will pound away, and they dont make a lot of mistakes. They have a season vet in QB Keffer and can get it done in the air if needed.

They will not be easy to beat...

Heck I'm sure the Rangers would play this game in the Firewheel parking lot to get another crack at the Colonels. I hope this game happens. The athletes on both teams would be worth price of admission. The Owls may have been down this year but its good to see South and Naaman keep the strong winning tradition going in the city of Garland.

of course, we would rather it was US playing, but if it cant be, it is nice to see our cross town cousins having success. we will enjoy it - and we will be back... :D

Carter's coaching staff is allowing their FG Kicker to kick for 3 points now. Our kicker kicked a 38 yard FG and a 48 yard FG against N Mesquite. Yes, two FG's, 38 and 48 yards.

You win games with FG's! These kids can kick!:notworthy

Naaman blazed us in our scrimmage with the big play. They resemble North but with a much better defense.

Naaman is balanced on both sides of the ball, and should win if they can contain Carter QB Jarvis Phillips. Plano was able to beat Carter easily because Phillips was injured, and it would have been much closer if he had played. As much as I love to see a new winner after years of losing, I gotta give it up for the best team in the OC - HOW BOUT 'DEM COWBOYS!!!!

This game will be "old school, smash mouth (boring, lol)" I cant wait!!
It actually may be played in 2..2 1/2 hours. I will be watching the line play in this game. There could be less then 20 passes total thrown unless Carter has changed a bunch. Maybe less then 30 points total.

Count me as a Naaman fan. I would love to see them represent region 2 in the state semis. Love the way they play.

If NF gets into a pound match with Carter, I like Carter chances. However, that darn NF Ranger named, Jonathan Miller is booger!! If he gets into the secondary, you can almost kiss the baby goodbye!!

But the same goes for our QB. He's great in open field. I'm worried more about NF passing attack though.

I see what you are saying. Carter is traditonally a very physical team and enjoys those types of games. However, Naaman can pound it with the best of em. This is a different Naaman team than people are used to. They have great size, very good speed and tons of athletes. They don't beat themselves and enjoys pounding it on the ground. As grayowl eluded to earlier this is going to be an old fashioned style football game. I dont think thats boring at all. I love the smash mouth style of football.

Well, this is a different Carter tean than people are used to!!! DC used to fit your description of NF!! Now, DC is average size, ok speed, a few good athletes, and we beat ourselves a lot!!

But we have a little faith and a lot of pride!!!! Hopefully, that will proprel us!!!

November 2005, Texas Stadium, Carter vs Garland. Lots of Dl players on the field like Mr. Crabtree, others. For those of us who like physical war chess games, this was a classic. Garland won 12-7. Carter was getting the ball back in the closing minutes, but roughing the kicker was called. Ball game. Times change and this may not be thw same kind of game, but I hope so

we need only stroll back to last year - and we will be back. Every program has a down year. And, it is worth noting, that when we have a down year, at least we can win a game or two.

Yea, this guy is a joke. Garland has had two bad years in the last fifteen, and this joker is touching himself. This guy is still stuck in the 80's and 1994. Wake up Jack..............it is 2007, and Plano is not the Plano of old.
