Pflugerville survived a brutal district and was good enough to beat a Temple team that handed South Garland their lone loss this year.

I liked the KF team before they beat us and still do. The qb doesn't turn the ball over much, and Wilkins is a threat at any point. If KF holds Pflugs to less than 24 they win. And, here's an odd one - KF has the best punter I've seen in three years. Doesn't sound like much, but with their D - he is a big weapon.

If the Panthers have enough playmakers to score 4 or 5 times - Pflugs moves on.

i haven't seen pflugerville play this year but i've seen temple. was not impressed with temple at all. their district was really weak. so i'm going with my gut on this one and saying that KF will win.

we already had our fair share of games with good running backs (Klein oaks 2 running backs) that were basically on the field at the same time and they were damn GOOD!! but the real question is are ya'll ready for a running back in Dominic Wilkins

OK, here's the scouting report on Pflugerville. The offense is the same as Klein High's, but with a better backfield and not quite as big a line. They throw the ball about five times a game, but usually have a man open.:) The defense is similar to Klein's, but with a hard hitting DeSean Hales(Klein Oak WR) caliber player playing free safety. I really don't see anyone lining up and running the ball down Forest's throat, but if they can, they win.

The last matchup was 2nd round 2003. Forest won in OT 24-21. I look for a similar score Saturday.

So what you are saying is that pflugerville will wear down the KF defense. Well let me see i dont think so KF defense has been the heart and soul of this team for many years including running backs. There is no possible way I see the defense getting worn down unless they are on the field alot that is why the offense has to do their part and try to give the defense a good breath because those pflugerville backs will have their way.

In the four years that I've been rooting for KF I have never seen such a last-minute miracle. It was just an amazing experience. I have mad respect for Lp though. I look forward to playing them again in the future. If Kf can beat lufkin they pretty much can beat everyone in the region as long as they keep up their spirit and game. who knows, we might get to play SLC...should be interesting if it happens

Hope KF plays Longview though think that would be a real good game.

A good one to watch friday would be Klein Oak vs. Leander at Sam Houston State in Hunstville @ 2 p.m............ If you haven't seen the playmakers for Oak play I would recommend this game..... Should be lots of action at this one.

Stupid jokes or not, with 14-5a sitting pretty at 2-0 against 16-5a, lets just say now you know how much we love high school football. And for what it's worth, i don't think i've heard of any team shutting down Pvilles running game this year (Round Rock isn't included as it sounded like Pville was resting its players in that game since their bracket was already set). Nwoko is a legit d-1 running back, Gooden is a legit d-1 athlete (maybe not running back) with offers from all over the place, and Carruth may not be a d-1 athlete according to rivals, but he stands at about 6'0" 220. He is an absolute load. Corey Wilson (their qb) isnt too shabby of a runner either.

if i'm not mistaken, Pville is a HEAVY favorite against the regular season 5-5 carter cowboys. That is a bold prediction thinking that Pville will get blown out by a 5-5 team after playing in this gauntlet of a district all year.
