Havent been keeping up with Klein....how are they this year...any possibility that it will be a good game?....if anyone knows how Klein could pull an upset...what would the factor be?

Not likely!! I like Lufkin 34-0!! Klein uses a wing-t offense and likes to play keep away and time management. They have a very big o-line. They only lost to The Woodlands 17-10 and i am not sure of their record?? 3-2 maybe?? Klein's defense is suspect but can play well at times. They are slow though. I do not see this game being very close??

LP played very flat against Klein last year - I think the final was like 24-7?? Klein will probably gain some yards on the ground, and may score a time or two - but their D should have trouble with our O speed. The main concern is the whacky schedule and looking past this one to Monday night.

LP should kill them, TWH should have killed them. They are disciplined and play really hard but they just don't have the athletes LP has.

Favpack, your getting your Klein schools mixed up. Lufkin blew out Klein at Abe last year like 38-7 and played the flat game against Klein Collins.

LP should win and could win big if Klein's CB & LB do not shut the passing game down. They have struggled all year with the safeties making most of the plays. Look for the coaches to keep it on ground hoping to pull it out with the kicking game at the end similar to Woodz game last year. I think Klein played LP close last year until the end of the second quarter.

FYI Lufkin beat Klein 36-0 last year and Klein had a total of about 75 yards. It was close for about 1 quarter you are correct.

Well. Lufkin has a pretty good kicking game themselves. Jamie Fernandez is a threat from 50 plus yard on any FG opportunity and nearly splits the uprights on most of his kick offs. I don't think it will come down a kick needed to win for Lufkin.

Lufkin's defense has another great chance at a shutout again if the 1st string play's the whole game and the offense does not turn the ball over deep in Lufkin's territory.

I just made an honest prediction i am well aware that anything can happen and any team can lose on any given night. I just gave my honest opinion on what i think the score will be. I could definitely be wrong!!

My only disagreement would be this -- I think you'll see the starters gone about mid-way through the 3rd unless it's tight -- if it's 31-7 I think they are either gone or on a rotation basis - Monday night ain't far away gang.

Yeah but the 2nd string defense has been playing very well when they have had their chances lately. Besides one long pass for a td vs Nac they have not given up nada vs Conroe and OakRidge.
Hey fav the guy i am really glad to have back from injury is R Murphy aka (Big Murph). He is not known as a big name on this great defense that everybody talks about but they should include him. He does the dirty work!! He is relentless. His motor runs about 200mph and he never stops. He is always trying to pump everybody else up and i love his energy!! I have just been really impressed with him. I know what many others can do but i did not realize how good this kid was?? He is a nicest kid you will ever meet also. He is constantly in the opponents backfield and he is just a rock in the middle. He is the type that drives offensive coordinator's nut's. He makes such a big difference on the interior line when he is in there. He is our biggest lineman at 260!! He had 2 sacks the last game and made several more tackles including a body slam on a rb. But the main thing he does is he takes the pressure off our very good linebackers so they can make more tackles. He has the same amount of tackles as our other Defensive tackle Hurts but has more sacks and more tackles behind the line of scrimmage and that is in 2 less games!! He is fun to watch!

I'm a little concerned about them looking past tonight to Monday myself. 1 game at a time, and anything can happen. I think this schedule is disruptive for eveybody, and 3 games in 15 days is a lot to ask of these kids.
I'm confident that LP will take the win. I can only hope that they hit the field focused and the starters are able to come out early and start resting and healing as soon as possible.
Will they practice Thursday? How about Saturday? I know there will be no practice on Sunday. Then Monday is game day. NUTS !!!

Randall Murphy had a great game - without him - the D is more vulnerable up the middle - and he makes Hurts better. Good to have him back for sure.

Klein will try to do what Conroe did on the first drive in their game with Lufkin.
A run, ball control offense, to consume minutes, is a good defense. Klein tries to keep it close because they don't have a passing game.
So if the Pack get's out early it will be a route.
But, Klein the biggest O-Line in the district with some good runners. (79 Steward is BIG 6'5" 350) It will be a good test on the Pack D.
In the end the Pack offense should post a good showing and Lufkin wins 27-14.
