The best team won last night, but what a gutsy performance by Jesuit. For three quarters, Desoto had to battle to lead by 24 to 21. Desoto is a team full of speed and athleticism. #83, a DT, dominated. Their RB, #32, proved why he can go anywhere in the country. And, #15 might have been the best runner on the field late in the game. Jesuit played with heart, and their stars made some great plays. #20 Sam Wernick took a screen about 80 yards for a TD, and #31 Kyle Miller returned a KO about 90 yards for a TD. To me, it looked as if the Rangers simply ran out of gas late, as the bigger Eagles wore them down. I only wish the Rangers had made some plays early in the game, especially when they had wide open receivers. Dropped passes and overthrown throws hurt their chances. But, they found a way to be leading 21 to 17 late in the third. Hats off to both teams. Jesuit finishes the year 6 and 5, and Desoto advances. Good luck to the Eagles. They need to find a passing game and shore up their special teams if they hope to go deep in the playoffs.

Sounds like Jesuit made it a game against a top team.
Well done! This should be a big positive leading into next year.
