Just got back from "The Pit" in Denton. UNT defeated Okie State 82-73. UNT has some very good looking athletes running the hard wood. They play an up timpo style and took it to the Pokes. Last lead Okie State enjoyed was 14-13 I believe. UNT led by as many as 16.
If UNT can carry the momentum from this win and win the games they should on their schedule and take care of business in the Conference then they could be as high as a 13 seed IMO.

Yeah well, they're going down next week! They couldn't handle the Mavs at home last year, they won't do any better on the road in rocking Texas Hall this year. Thus concludes the weakest smack-talk ever, we take what we can get at UTA.
Actually, I have no idea what our basketball teams are like this year, I know we had a lot come back on the Men's team so they should be decent. They've been blowing out the teams they played so far but they haven't really played anybody. Sadly my classes are at night so I don't get to go to the games, I'd rather graduate. :D

I guess this means you made it out of Columbia alright? I want you to know and appreciate the fact that you were in the same building as Tim Tebow and The Old Ball Coach. I hate you and envy you at the same time.

:D Thank you :D
I'm glad I made it out of Columbia alright. That said, I saw at least 2 people who did not.
One was a drunk Florida fan, crossing the street from the fair grounds parking lot into Williams-Brice. The guy wasn't talking **** or anything, just drunk, well he wasn't paying attention and got ran over by a car going about 20-25 mph. enough to lift him airborne. The police said later that night when I asked that he would be alright just broken bones all over his lower body.
The other was an idiot driver running a red light and getting blasted by on coming traffic.
People in Columbia do not know how to drive.
I took plenty of pictures, my seats were on the USC side, 10 yardline about 25 rows up. Got some good ones of Tebow and the rest of the Gators.
One thing is for certain though, Columbia is no Athens when it comes to the nightlife and womenfolk.

No and South Carolina is no Georgia. Still, Columbia is a good college town. The true sundress talent can be found North in North Carolina and South in Georgia, but South Carolina tries. I've heard the talent at Clemson is better, but I have never been.

Good win for the mean green, but I'd hardly consider this an upset. OSU was probably the slight favorite, but this is a team with 4 new starters, lots of freshman and sophmores. I imagine the basketball team will be a lot like the football team. They'll pull a few upsets and look like world beaters at times, but will lose a lot of winnable games.
