For all those 12-5a fans on here could yall give an outlook on what to expect in the next weeks in that district. So far it has been pretty crazy with JT stepping up and with Lee losing and Rockwall making a statement. Only one team in there has been consistant...ie Longview. What do yall expect to happen with the playoff scenarios at the end???? do yall expect lee to make it? Rockwall? and how good is john tyler since Garland could be playing them first round.

District Championship is still up for grabs, yet Longview is the only one to nab a playoff spot so far. It would appear, barring upsets, that Longview will face South Garland in Bi-District. While I've seen bigger upsets, I just don't see many stopping the offensive juggernaut that Longview has put together (call me homer...but I just don't see a stop coming anytime soon.)
Lee- I don't know what to say. I wouldn't count them out of the game yet. Jason Williams looked strong in the second half of the Longview game, and if Preston Hill doesn't return, Marcus Jackson looks like he's maturing and getting more comfortable all the time. I wouldn't be surprised to see them turn it around and stick what they know they can do (run up yards with Williams).
Rockwall- I honestly don't see them upsetting their way into the playoffs. Call me crazy, but there hasn't been much improvement from last year. They nearly upset Longview this year, and look....they managed to upset Lee this year. Whoopty doo.
Horn- It is always possible for them to make it in, but with only two good players (Williams and their QB) and literally no defense, they will either not make it to the playoffs, or bow out in the first round.
Mesquite- I see them to be the most likely team to grab the third playoff spot. They've had some upsides to their losing games and they have good coaches over there. How deep they go in the playoffs is another story.
North Mesquite- Like Horn and Rockwall, I don't see them doing too much else in this years district race and even if NM made it, I think you'd see them bow out in the first round.
JT- I'd say they're as good as advertised. With the activation of the NO receiver and the other good receiver catching balls from a supposedly great QB, I would say they are poised to jump into the playoff race and at least put up a fight in the first round. If they can get Kendall Hunter back, you may see a pretty good showing in the playoffs.
Garland, if you play them, I'd be fairly worried. Maddox seems like he has poise in and out of the pocket, throwing on the run to great receivers, and has acquired leadership skills along the way.
There you have it.

In two more weeks, we should really get a much better prediction for that third spot.
The next two weeks games.
JT vs. Mesquite Horn
JT vs. Tyler Lee
Mesquite vs. Mesquite Horn
North Mesquite vs. Tyler Lee
North Mesquite vs. Rockwall
Longview vs. Rockwall
If John Tyler wins these two games, their playoff spot will be rapped up.
If Tyler Lee loses their game against JT, but wins against North Mesquite their distirict record would be 1-3. Their final two games would be against Mesquite and Mesquite Horn, which are two winnable games for Lee in my opinion. Their playoff hopes look dim, but with 3 wins to end the season, its still possible.
Mesquite has an open week this week and then they face Mesquite Horn. I think that they will beat Mesquite Horn because they are able to contain the running game. They made Longview work for their rushing yards. Especially Chris Ivory. A lot of this race between Mesquite and Tyler Lee will be settled win they play each other. I believe that the winner of the Mesquite and Lee game will win the 3rd spot.
I'm done, criticize my analysis if you want to...I may have made a few mistakes.

I dont see Rockwall making it.
Rockwall's remaining opponents. Current Distirict record = 1-1
-Longview
-North Mesquite
-JT
-Mesquite
In my opinion, they will lose to Longview, JT, and Mesquite. They might beat North Mesquite. If they do that leaves them with a 2-3 record. If Mesquite beats both Rockwall and Tyler Lee they can win the 3rd spot outright, if they beat Rockwall but lose to Lee, there could be a 3-way tie.(I believe this could happen, correct me if I'm wrong)
This all just gets confusing this far from the end of the season.
