I wasn't able to go so my friend called me with updates because it wasn't on TSRN - sounds like it was a GREAT game - that was the first one I've missed this year. She said there was a fumble by JV on the kick off and Falls scored off of that immediately. On an even BETTER note, Tomball lost to Cy Springs which opens that playoff door up for us if we can win out (which means beating Tomball, Cy Ridge and Magnolia and we even have an open week to rest - looking good EAGLES!!!). Cy Creek and Cy Fair won so they are cruising to the playoffs at this point.
Sorry I couldn't make it Northshor - was looking forward to meeting you. Glad you got to go though.

Why was this a great game other than the fact that Falls won? JV was not competitive at all and in fact Falls could have run the score up if they had wanted to. JV had 16 rushing yards and 116 passing yards. They could only manage 1 field goal and a safety, which Falls, gave to them. So please tell me how was this a great game?
Snokhous and company are horrible coaches. Either they don't have the players to run the spread or as coaches they don't understand it. JV ranks dead last in offense and defense. At this rate Magnolia is going to kick Snokhous and companies a$$. These coaches need to play their best players and not the ones who’s mommy and daddies are officers in the Booster Club.

Whoa....a little hostility, there, Young@Hart! I take it you are an alum or fan of Jersey Village? What has hapened to them? They were such a force in the 90's!
And BTW...CyFallsMom is a very kind person and reports every week, after a Cy Falls game. She was just speaking her opinion...and/or noting what was told to her. As a matter of fact, that was the very first thing she stated...SHE WAS NOT PRESENT AT THE GAME!

What happened was a great Coach, Rudy Phillips past away and we ended up with a 1A West Texas Coach by the name Snokhous, that is what happened.

Thank you Great one!! I was not at the game but have heard it was a great one - we have struggled lately so anything positive is great at this point. And usually, as with all Cy Falls sports teams, we heat up at the last minute anyway. Jersey Village would be competitive to Cy Falls if they were dead last in anything - both teams tend to kick it up a notch when they play. I'm sorry they haven't been as strong this year but they will be back...apparently they lost a few good ones last year.

Not until some personnel changes occur and we get a real head coach, a coach who is more interested in his players and not the amount of gold jewelry he wears or if his hair gets messed up. This is high school, not the pros so stop acting like you’re the great coach around cause you ain’t even close.

Ya....that answers what can happen if a poor coach/coaching staff takes over an athletic powerhouse!
Hope JV gets back to what it once was!

I wonder if Coach Dimel has another son-in-law he can recomend to take over at JV.

Falls was dominant in this one. Through 3 quarters JV had 53 yards of total offense.
Big win over one of the weakest JV team I have seen in years. Lots of talent and size but could not execute.
Falls is exactly where we were last year at this time.
4 and 3 for the year and 3 and 2 in district.
Falls had 300 plus yards tonight with even split of half rushing and half passing.
Falls playoff destiny is in their own hands. Depends on which team shows up for the next 3 games.
JP Tillman had a tremendous game; the type of game many knew he was capable of 15 for 20 and 150 yards.
Jeff Dobbin is getting better with each snap. 23 for 109 yards and 2 TDs.
Easier said than done as Cy Ridge beat Falls last year with Takacs and I am sure he will show up on Saturday.

i am still a bit surprised about JV. Don't they have 4 or 5 DI signees on their team? That should make them all world!! Springs will continue to mess up the standings. They have a great RB if someone can stop him. Big game this weekend Creek-Fair I do not know I guess a pick'em
OK week whatever...
Fair-Creek Creek by 3
Springs -Mag Springs by 20
Falls- Ridge Falls by 1
JV-Tom Tom by 30 yes 30, JV is bad, very bad D1 or not
LC does not lose this week, they are happy for the break.

Fair - Creek - my sentimental choice is Fair since our neighborhood was rezoned there but I think my gut feeling is that Creek will "sqeak" by but only like a 3 point game...both of these teams are pretty impressive.
Springs - Magnolia - a major blowout. Springs is getting better with each game and I'm glad we played them already. Like I said at the beginning of the season in one of the threads - they could be the spoiler or dark horse for a couple of teams (they may have been for Tomball already)
Falls-Ridge - Tacaks had our number last year but I think we will figure it out this time and it will be Falls by 7. We, too, are getting a little better with each game.
Jersey Village - Tomball - JV is done I think. Tomball is still trying to stay in the race and will play as such - Tomball by 21

Creek over Fair
Cy-Spring over Magnolia
Ridge over Falls
Tomball over JV (at this point the only team JV might be able to beat is Magnolia and Cook Middle School)

Yea, I saw Cook playing over at JV the other night, I could not tell who they were playing but they looked better than JV.

seriously, what is up with JV. I am very disappointed with their performance this year. What is the deal. They are supposed to have a bunch of D1 signees. I have not seen them play yet, but I am very disapponted in their play. Also I would like to get some feedback on Creek and Fair. They were not even in the picture earlier this year. I have seen both teams play. Both solid. Looks like Creek has figured out the spread offense and has a solid defense. Fair has a very, very good defense and a solid offense. I understand Fair's O-Line has been together for 3 years. I have watched Fairs' line and they look like the best O-Line in the district. Not really sure how this game plays out, but should be a great battle. I plan to go to this game................ unless I get called out of town on work again. Work gets in the way sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cy-Fair is a very solid team. Yes, the O-line has been together for awhile but they have been battling some injuries this season. I believe the Bobcat defense is leading the district, or I assume so since the unit was ranked in the top 10 in the Houston Chronicle.
I got the opportunity to watch Creek play Falls and I came away very impressed by the Cougars. They seem like a very disciplined, well-coached team that does not make a lot of mistakes. They have decent speed and solid playmakers.
This game is hard to choose. Obviously I want my old high school to come away with the victory but it will be a tall order. I think the game is going to be a slugfest and whoever blinks first will lose it. Both teams are hard-nosed and will grind it out until the end. So, I am going to go with Cy-Fair. This game is going to be awesome. I cannot wait.

i agree, a very good game. should be fun to watch, i will be there. give creek credit they have not been very good the past couple of years but they look to be the real deal this year. their rb is solid and qb does not make mistakes. it looks like their defense has a good amount of experience from last year. fair has a great defense. overlooked i think. i think it comes down to the creek offense vs fair defense. should be a war. i think most of these kids know each other. get the women and children off the street!!!
OK, anyone got any opinions on JV. I am still amazed. the box score against falls was bad. although falls has a very good defense, but 4 first downs for JV??? what's up with that!!
