All of you questioned Shockey's toughness earlier in the season, but right now he's owning your boy Roy Williams. :) Giants up 14- 10. :D

Roy sure can stuff the **** out of Brandon Jacobs on every play though. :D
By the way he's the leading tackler in this game.

Evil Roy Williams is the worst f'n safety in the NFL.

Yea, I seen that. I know that they said the NFL will start ejecting players for helmet to helmet hits, I wonder if they will begin doing it for horse collar tackles too. Not just because Roy Williams is notorious for it, but in my opinion, it is just as dangerous as a helmet to helmet hit.

he's right up there, no doubt. even lily manning knows where the open receiver is. he looks for 31, and knows where he's going, at least when a de doesn't take down early.

Roy Williams ain't a safety. That would imply that he holds a position on defense.
He should me SB.-Speed Bump

A lot of criticism for a guy who led the team in tackles for nearly the whole game, and ended up second. He had a couple key stops on Brandon Jacobs.

He led the team in blown coverages too. Shockey was just toying with him.

Shockey only set a new career high in receptions today. Speed Bump was outstanding...

I'm not defending him either way. But he's starting on the Cowboys so he obviously is doing something right. He's also made 4 pro bowls.

So it was a mismatch having arguably the leagues best tight end going against a SS. It wasn't his fault every time Shockey caught the ball either. Coverage is obviously the weakest part of his game, but he did a pretty nice job stopping the run on several plays.

I gotta be a little bit in disagreement with you Roy haters on here.
Yes, Roy has his problems in coverage and they were exposed when Woodson retired and even moreso in Parcells defensive scheme. Wade seems to have effectively "hidden" Roy and allows him to do what he does best. Let me explain.
Last year, Roy was getting beat deep all the time....this year....not so much. Shockey had a great game, but he had to catch 11 balls to get 120 yards...and he was the PRIMARY target for the game. Roy kept him in front of him and made the tackles. Shockey was NEVER a difference maker after his TD catch. If you can hold the primary player to 120 yards and their offense to 20 points, I'd call that a successful defensive scheme against a really nice offense.
In conclusion, Roy kept Shockey in front of him, made his tackles, and played the run fiercely. His efforts, though maligned by some of you, were a primary reason the Cowboys won the game. HIS MAN NEVER BECAME THE DIFFERENCE MAKER.
Wade deserves the credit for this and you guys need to review your take on Roy as his role is changing....for the better.

agree 100%, you shouldn't have to hide him if he is a good player and right now he is substandard.
