with longview and jt boyh looking like they are playoff locks who will be the 3rd team and who goes div1 and who goes div2

JT isnt a lock yet, but they are squarely in the drivers seat.
Rockwall might sneak in, if they can win the games they are supposed to win. When do they play JT?
By the way, theres already a bleedgreen on this site, and he may not appreciate you hijacking his name... :D ;)
Rockwall plays JT in week 9.
The District Championship will most likely be decided in the JT/Longview game on the last week, and I think the 3rd spot will go to the winner of the Rockwall/Mesquite game on the same day.

when i pick my name i didn't know about the other guy name on this site. so i was thinking rockwall but who goes div1 and who goes div2
JT will always go Div II, Longview would only go to Div I if Mes. Horn makes the playoffs. The rest of the teams in the district would go Div I if JT and Long. make it.

My friends I will have to agree with Big Arab(Why LOL) Lee is not threw yet even if they loose to JT they can still sneak in and grab a 3rd playoff spot and thats just what I think they will do. Lee is a Team that is led by a powerful RB and I wontbe Suprised to see Jason Williams run Lee right into the playoffs and a couple of rounds deep. Plus Preston will return soon and will give Lee the added Bust the need to make it to there 10th consecutive playoff apperance. Not so fast lets not count Owens off just yet.
5-5 (3-3) might just get them in.

I'd rather see the backup qb in there than 1st string...makes alot better decisions with the ball...

I still think Mesquite Horn may surprise a few folks and sneak into the third spot behind Longview and JT. You can stick a fork in Lee, they didn't have any defense before Preston was hurt and they won't be any better when he comes back. They can't stop the run period.

Yes they did lose to NM 35-34, but they also have four games left to play. Everyhting depend on what happens with all the other head to head match up. You never know. Hey, it could be anyone, I was just giving them some props because I think they do have a half decent team.

Well I hope that does not happen because Longview would go div1. It is possible though?? Especially if Horn would have pulled out the win the other night.

I think it will be between Tyler Lee and Rockwall. I liked what I saw in the second half of the game for Tyler Lee, the back-up qb looks to be getting better. I think they still might surprise some folks in the end.

PA because I want Lufkin to play the best that they can to try an win the title. That is why i do not want great top 5 teams like SLC, Katy and Longview to go to Div1. I would also miss the great great rivalry game between Longview and Lufkin that is why!! If SLC, Longview, and Katy all go div1 and Lufkin wins the div2 title their will be a big asterick on that championship in the fan's mind and they would have a good dang point. Kind of like Tyler Lee championship last year!! I believe Lufkin would have had a great shot at the div1 title last year and in 2002 and they would have had at least 2 or 3 titles in 4 years. Just my opinion. In a perfect world we could throw away the UIL rules and there would be no div1 and div2 but that is not going to happen. LOL

Tyler Lee has a shot, but it's gonna be tough. Their only 2 wins, in week 0 and 1, have come at the hands of a 4-2 Chaminade, FL school (by 6 pts) and 1-5 Waco (by 14 pts). Since then they've given up 126 pts in 4 games, while only producing 37 pts. They need to score!!!!
Its about stopping the run....and so far they've given up nearly 20 td's on the ground. But then again they started to shut down Longview during the second half of the game last week, so that gives them hope.
And also guys, they've PLAYED #3 Euless Trinity, #5 Longview and Ohio's #3 ranked Colerain, of whom looks to, possibly, repeat as their State Champion. And they have #21 Tyler John Tyler next week. Hey...that brings a whole new meaning to term "STRENGTH of schedule"!!
Personally, however, I see Longview, Tyler John Tyler and Rockwall advancing into the playoffs, as a 4-6 Tyler Lee team just misses out!
Hope Lee proves me wrong, though! :D

The thing was that Longview only had two very short posessions in the second half. Other than that, Lee kept driving and driving and eating up the clock. They need to get better at that. Muchhhhh better.
