If you want my personal opinion, the ONLY A&M starter that could start at UT would be Jason Carter the wide reciever. Other than that i got nothing. You could argue Reggie, but with our type of offense Vince is the perfect qb and he has worked alot on his passing skills (regardless of his int numbers) he is putting up solid passing numbers when he needs to and VInce is the better runner. You could argue Jaxon Appell, but i personally think that if Jaxon Appell and either Michael Huff or Michael Griffin were at a random school i dont think Jaxon Appell would start at either saftey position because of athletic ability. I have worlds of respect for that man, but i just dont see him cracking the starting lineup. Other than those two i dont see a decent argument for any other aTm starter starting at UT. Can anybody help me out here, i'm not trying to start an argument, but when i watched the aTm vs BU game and the aTm vs CU game, i just dont see who else could start. The lack of overall talent at aTm is REALLY catching up to them.

I would say none of them, i think its time to move on and realize that A&M is not even one of the top 3 football schools in this state right now. After Texas it goes, Tech and TCU and UTEP is closing in on the ags real fast.
The REAL question should be....What is important? Throwing motion or wins, productivity and numbers against good opponets.

I don't know man, it would be tough to not at least rotate Jaxson Appel with Michael Griffin. Obviously at DL nothing would change, and A&M doesn't have any stand out linebackers. TE David Thomas would have locked up, RB is all Jamaal and Big Tank Hank, QB is Vince, dont even get me started, but Reggie could play SOMEWHERE at Texas just out of sheer speed... The O-line is pretty stacked at Texas, so Yeah...If you were in a spread offense and had 4 wideouts they would have to be Pittman Taylor Sweed and Jason Carter I guess. Then DQ Mobley and Brian Carter could both justify a little PT.

Punter and kicker on kickoffs. But that is about it. Reggie would probably start at wide receiver for the horns

aggy has nobody that could start for Texas except for maybe the punter. There are a couple of guys that could see some playing time. If Texas wasnt so loaded and deep on the D-line, Jolly might be able to find a spot in a rotation. Carter and Schroeder might get a few catches, but there is no way they would take a spot away from Pittman, Sweed or Taylor. I dont see any way Appel could see the field. Not with all the fast DBs Texas has.

Having both Vince Young and Reggie might be a headache Mack would enjoy having...Think of the possibilities...The year Lufkin won state...they had two bonafide QB's...Reggie and Terrance Parks (now at Baylor) and they were a D-coordinator's nightmare....we could fit Reggie in somewhere...He was quite the wide-out in HS...and trick plays...OMG...they would make Reggie Bush and Leinart look like Abbott and Costello. JMO...Hook 'em.

I understand what you mean by Reggie being able to move to wide out and what not, that was a given. But who in aTm's starting lineup could take a spot away from somebody in UT's starting lineup. And just my humble opinion, Jaxon Appell could not take Michael Griffins spot away.
Griffin has the speed, the hard hits and the coverage skills over Appell, but Appell (WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I'M SPELLING THIS MANS NAME WRONG lol) has the instinct over Griffin....i guess  . I dont think his spot would be taken. If we went 4 wideouts with UT and aTm's wideouts they would be Pittman, Taylor, Carter, and Sweed and DQ mobley is a toss up. I really like Chad Schroeder because hes a hometown boy and i've watched him for a while, but regardless of him being mr. Touchdown or what ever they call him, he would not crack the starting lineup. But yea, as far as these two teams over the years, this is the first time that i can only think of 1 person that would probably take a UT starters spot outright, and thats Carter.

I call him apple...course that's just me being a smart...
But no matter how many times aggy calls Vince ...Radio
I will never call Reggie ...Regina
The dude brought my alma mater a state championship...I just can't do it.
If nothing else...I feel sorry for Reggie.

I bet no one on a Big XII defense calls Vince anything but Sir...

Actually the most commonly heard phrase is ..."What was that?"
Followed by the immediate playing of "Texas Fight"....

I think the main reason Appel gets so much respect from Aggies is that sadly, the safties make most of the tackles (or at least try) and Jaxson is the only one who actually knows how to tackle...
P.S. it is spelled Appel

But I pronounce it Apple....and BTW...he was all over Adrian Peterson's *** last year...tackled behind the line numerous times...props for that.
But aggy still sucks...and he is aggy...therefore...he sucks.

I think Jamie Hightower could start at texas because hes freakin huge and Texas always produces good lineman. Also I think Carter would play reciever Appel at safety and reggie somewhere

If i'm not mistaken (and i may be) Jamie hightower plays tackle, and there is not a snowflakes chance in hell that he would take Jonathan Scott or Justin Blaylock. I'm not saying hes not good or anything. Hes fantastic. But Scott and Blaylock will both be 1st round draft picks. I dont know if i'm wording my question right. I know you could move McNeil to wr, but who at their position right now with no switches at aTm could take away somebodys position at UT besides special teams. And IMO Appel is a good tackler, but hes not as good in coverage as Griffin. Thats my opinion.

OK, ive been calculating, and expiramenting, and testing possible scenarios and have determined that the following people could take a starting position at UT at their CURRENT ATM position.
no one.
its 5:12 pm and OU still sucks.

Well, if we take recent history into account...
21-7
46-15
I'm thinking it'll be closer to the latter.

well yeah you never know whats going to happen but the only 2 teams A&M has shown life against have been Okie State and SMU ( two of the worst I-A teams) they will need all 12 men to hold UT under 60 points
