Alright, there's alot on the line in this game, I think.
Brook's looking for a win to try and get a playoff birth.
Pearland's looking for bragging rights and an outright district championship.
We (Pearland) struggled last week against a Ball team fighting for the playoffs, what do ya'll think?

In the video I've seen of Brook their QB likes to keep the ball a lot more than Lakes. If that is the case he will get blasted all night. He's 5'6, he seriously will get hurt. Can they pass any better than Lake? I don't know. They totally outcoached Lake though so I will give them that.
If our playcalling is as good as it was against Ball and we actually execute this time we will win big. If not then it will be a close game and we will get a big play somewhere that puts us over the top.

Alot of thing have to happen for either Clear Lake, Clear Brook, Or G Ball to make the playoffs For clearlake to go they have to beat B woOD AND WE hAVE TO BEAT BROOK, for brook to go they have to beat us and Bwood has to beat Lake, and finally for Gball to go We have to beat brook and Bwood has to beat lake....its that simple lol

Gball should be the team to make it. Lake will have to play a perfect game with no turnovers and hope Yobes has a bad night...

im pickin brook solely based on the fact that there have been some really close games in district between pearland and brook and the past couple of weeks
pearland vs creek/ball were very close and brook vs bwood/alvin were also close
and brook is in a win or die situation....so it will be a very hard fought game...actually to be honest its a toss up...put it this way, i think whoever wins...it will be very close.

Brook vs. Pearland games have been close
Wasn't it like 35-0 in the 1st quarter last year? We have destroyed them every year for as long as I can remember...

Lake was out coached by Brook because Brook has Lake's old offesne cordinator and he knows every weak spot to the option. I'm hoping Pearland beats Brook and Creek beats Ball and Lake beats Bwood. Lake has had a bye week to prepare for this game. But I see Pearland winning this game, only way I see them losing is if the offense doesn't show up to play, and we all know the offense can be on or off...

I'm sure our coaches and guys will be ready for Clear Brook. Gotta be in the right frame heading to the 1st game of the playoffs.

Either way, in 05 we won and that's all that matters the following morning.
Offense will show up
Defense will shut them up
We win 31-14

I predict Pearland close again...Brook will miss an extra point attempt that could tie the game;).

What happens if Brook, Lake and Ball all lose Friday night? Still a 3-way tie...

Brook goes based on points between the three teams when they played each other. It'll be a crazy friday night!

Can't believe I had to dig 4 paged deep to find a Pearland thread...
The team looked great in the first half tonight. I'm not joking when I say that it could have easily been 51-0 at half. Phantom penalties all over and an interception that we ran back for a TD somehow got called out at the 1 as time expired. Bernard Obi is an option killer. He demolished the interior of Brooks Oline the entire first half. Carrier ran the ball great. I haven't looked up his stats but I think they were around 10 carries for 150 yards, maybe more.
Starters played 1 series in the 3rd and then sat. The team played about as well as this 2007 version can play for 2 quarters. We'll have to see just how good that is in the coming weeks...

Correction, Carrier had 12 carries for 184. 217 all purpose yards even with his 80 yard TD catch being called back.

Man I underestimated Pearland's speed. Carrier was a LOT faster than I thought. He looked really good tonight. But the person whos speed impressed me the most was Nick Saenz. When that PAT was blocked, he ran to pick it up and had to slow down as he was grabbing it. He had a couple Brook guys around him and I didn't think he would be able to outrun them, but he turned it on and blew them away...
Oilers looked very very good tonight...

This years defense is much faster than last years. Saenz should be first team all state. You have to see him in person to truly feel his impact on the game. Gary Robertson blocked ANOTHER XP:eek: That's gotta be about 5 XP blocks for him on the year.
