Tickets for Thursday’s football game between Ryan and Southlake Carroll will go on sale at 8 a.m. Monday at the Denton ISD Athletic Office at C.H. Collins Athletic Complex.

Tickets will be on sale at that location from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to noon on Thursday. C.H. Collins Athletic Complex is located at 1500 Long Road, just north of Loop 288 and Sherman Drive.

Presale tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students. There will be a limit of 10 tickets purchased per person. All general admission tickets at the gate will be $7.

There are 4,760 general admission tickets and 348 reserved seats are available on the home side, DISD Athletic Secretary Martha Crep said.

The District 5-5A game is being televised nationally for the second straight year. Last year’s game was shown by ESPN2, while this year’s will be televised by Fox Sports Net. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

the reason you have monday off is because of Columbus Day. Wow what has happened to Carroll High School where the kids don't know what Columbus day is?

I remember that. I could not believe it. I wish I could go to this game and was dissapointed when I heard it was televised because I cannot make any thursday games. I really wanted to see the new Stadium

Abilene ISD schools are in session - Abilene Wylie schools are off. I guess it's a school district choice to take the holiday.

I can understand. I think that most of my family is going. The Thursday game is going to keep a lot of people away, but the potential to be on TV will more than make up for the game being on Thursday. I don't see there being as much hype for the game this year as the one last year

yea, cause it was on espn2, i probally wont be able to go the pep rally this year! man last year it was on tv, or at least partially was, and they wanted the whole band there, just not the people at the senior hihg campus during that class, it was soo fricon hillarious waht the crew did

on my 11th birthday my dad took me to Tx Stadium to watch a double header to go back the following day for a triple header, of course it was a friday, but it was the Farmers playing Burleson to open up the playoffs, a few years later in 94 for my 13th he took me to the Lewisville/Richland, The Colony/Arlington Lamar double header, that was a thursday and I had school the next day, he made sure all my homework was done and even quizzed me on my vocab words the whole trip there and back. I miss being a kid.

As for burgers, for you Southlake people, if you get to Denton early enough, try out Denton Independent Hamburger off of University and Sunset. It is home to the best burger in town, I usually eat there once a week and love it.

I always hated when people said that Denton Ryan didnt sell out all their tickets to last years game becasue they didnt have enough spirit..... It was also a Thursday night game....AND an away game in Southlake..... so most of the people that would usually go to a game had to stay home to watch it

I went to that game... and from what I could tell our side was completely full even though it was a Thursday/Away game. I don't know... you guys on the SLC side had a better view of our side than I did... wasn't it full??

As for DR having poor fan support... I agree. I'm not talking about the die hards I see week in and week out at the games. They are great people and are maniacs about supporting the Raiders. I'm talking about the fact that the turn out at a lot of games during the play offs etc is much lower than it should be. We have had two high schools for many years now (and now we have three) so I can understand the split during the season. But when there is just one school left standing in December, the whole town should be out in force supporting that team... and that just has not happened in years past.

At last years ESPN game, Ryan turned back in 1000 tickets. They were sold only on the visitor's side before the game.

One thing you have to remember about the fan support for Ryan is that the school has not been around that long. It has only been around since about 1996, so you don't have a large base to pull from. A lot of people don't realize it is such a young school because of the success it has had. The fan base will continue to grow as time goes by. It is hard to compare Ryan to a school that has been around for 20, 30 or even 40+ years.

i think senior high still has some. last I checked, they weren't limiting how many each kid was buying. I might buy a couple even though I get in for free.

they limited them to, one student ticket per person at the high schoolsucks, they gave up on going room to room there. just set up a guy in the main hall with a stack of tickets.
