Played well on both sides of the ball. Lewisville offense rolled up 295 yards on the ground, rb had 21-208.

I'm glad the offense is finally getting back on track. One thing I noticed is that we had very few penalties, at least none at the wrong times and NO personal foul penalties!!! That has to be a first all year, haha. Plus no turnovers. I will give it to Creekview though, they have some strong runners and they won't give up!

We did have 1 personal foul and it was on the same player that it is usually on and his jersey is #1. I don't understand why the coaches don't do something about him. I am a Farmer fan and have been for 30+ years, my son is on Varsity. But I think #1 is way over rated. He is a great DB but they use him on punt return and kick return and as a receiver. I think he should stick to DB. I am very concerned about our coaching also. I don't think we will ever be a powerhouse like we used to be with the coaching we have now. I am excited about next year with Jordan at QB and the rest of the players we have coming up. Sorry to go on but I have been holding back for a while. Last night was the best we have looked all year. Even the Coppell game wasn't as well executed or called as well as last night was. We just have to take care of Flower Mound next week.

Hey farmerdad...
Maybe I'm misreading your thread, but I cringe when I see you calling out individual players and the coaches. You certainly have the right to say/do whatever, but both players and coaches participate in the discussions on this board, and you hurt your team by singling out flaws (individuals and coaching) in your program.
There are plenty of things I don't like to see on the field, but my role as a fan and Varsity Dad is to support the current team no matter what. If I have a beef, I will never call out specifics... If I don't like the coaching, I'll set up a meeting with the coach. If we have a player that seems to have issues on the field, then I try to step back and consider all the things that these young men are dealing with in their lives. Rest assured the coaches see it and are trying to help them as much as they can.
Sorry if I am misreading your thread and I don't mean to preach. Lewisville has a fantastic team this year and I'm looking forward to seeing their continued success in the playoffs.
I'm a Hawk Homer, but I want all of 6-5A to do well in the playoffs.

Sorry about that guys. I just get frustrated at the lack of discipline we have and some of the play calling. I apologize for the remarks I made. Good luck to all in the playoffs this year. What do ya'll think about Lewisville-vs-Colleyville in the first round?

Ok, this has gotten to me just a bit...
First, #1 is our best player, he might be the only player that has D1 talent and to take him off punt returns? Seriously? He breaks it nearly everytime he touches the ball. He reminds me of a better Tony Cade from years ago. Sure, his attitude wasn't very good but that was last year, I think he's shored it up a great deal. If you hadn't noticed, the personal fouls have come from MULTIPLE players this year, not just one. The last game, I think it was actually another player, in the #20ish range that had the foul. Not #1. Overall, he's got the pure talent, size and ability to be a D1 prospect.
Second, the coaches have done a great job turning the program around, I give them all the credit in the world for that. I do agree that the play calling has been a bit odd at times but it had also been a bit "off" under Gage from time to time. 50% of the time the play looks like a bad play call because the defense made a good play on it. Another 25% is due to the play being broken and the QB having to adapt. The other % can be summed up as perhaps not the right call which does happen from time to time. This is HS football, not college nor pro to where coaches get crazy salaries and are the best at what they do, so don't expect perfection.
Overall, the Farmers are leaps and bounds ahead of what they were two years ago and I do like the talent we have coming up, that is something that we've disparately missed as well for some time. I see us possibly beating CH but going no further than the 2nd round due to facing Trinity. I believe we'll give them all they want but I just don't see us getting past them. And even if we did, we'd face Odessa Permian and we all know the history of them stomping us in the playoffs! lol

It started off as good history, lost to em in 78 17-7 and beat them in 81 after ending the game ina 14-14 tie but winning on penetrations.
Now 92 and 94 are horrible horrible memories. The scary thing is we were playing some damn good football coming into both of those games.
I still dont know how Amarillo defeated Permian the following week in 92.
