Use a two QB system with the following:
Eric Udell- Sr. Don't know stats but had a good game against SV after other quarterback went out with injury
Kevin Schmid- Jr. is other QB both are good passers
RB- Jonathon Craig-JR fast & shifty, very good in open field
Wally Schraim- JR
WR- Junior Richard-SR tall with good hands
Ryan Westbrook- SR
Don't know much stats on them but good team. Could very easily be 6-0 if a few plays in their two losses would have gone their way.
I am assuming you are talking about San Antonio MacArthur.

Richards is overrated, with the two games I've seen....I haven't been impressed.
Schmid is the one that got airlifted to University hospital. He may be out for a week or two...maybe more. But that hit will always be in the back of his mind however...
And a lot of teams could have more wins if plays "went another way"

QB-Eric Udell- Senior
Good all around athlete. Does everything pretty good. Getting better at using all options in offense. Also kicker and punter.
QB-Kevin Schmid- Junior
Not as athletic as Udell but the better QB. Utilizes all options and runs the offense better. Not as fast or as strong of arm as Udell but not far behind in those categories.
RB-Jonathan Craig- Junior
Great athlete. Fast, elusive but not a pure RB. Must learn to run the plays like they should be to utilize his blockers.
RB-Wally Shraim- Junior
Good football player. Blue collar type of player. Hits the hole quick.
WR-Jr. Richards- Senior
Good athlete with size (6'3", 195) but routes are not pure and drops to many balls. As the potential to be very good but has to make that choice.
WR-Ryan Westbrook-Senior
Underated football player. Another blue collar type. Team player.
LB-Martin Mondragon-Junior
Just makes plays. Not big (5'9" 165) but knows how to play the game.
OL-John Shussler-Junior
6'4" 304 and no, he's not just fat. Kid can play.
DE-Kenny Hartman-Senior
Good athlete and plays hard.
DB-Mark Kinney-Junior
Hard hitter, very aggressive
Sophmores to look for:
Phillip Vargas
5'10" 190- plays LB and FB
Mark Kyle
5'10" 165- in the mold of Craig but more of a pure RB. Very good speed.
Zach Williamson
6'2" 190- plays TE- will probably move to WR and DE as a junior.
Mychal Brown
6'1" 165- plays DB- raw talent with speed.
Good thing with this team is that they are loaded with Juniors this year. Eight returning starters on offense and 8 on defense.
Hope that helps

Of the teams I have seen play Gridiron Gopher I would agree with you on the returning starters MacArthur will have they should be the early preseason favorite next year for the district if it stays the same. Of course Padilla & Texas Football will have Churchill as the favorite.

What the heck Mac are you referring to? LOL - this is hilarious.
Are we talking the MAC college conference; San Antonio MacArthur, or some other MAC I'm not privy to.
Gotta love the lack of detail around here at times.

Mac Is Back

Schmid's injury worried me. At first I knew little about the injury, someone just told me that our QB was airlifted to the hospital - Which, had it been Craig, the rest of Mac's season may have been shot. Then I found out it was our backup QB and that he was fine, so I felt a little better. And then bitterness consumed me because we've lost to SV by a mere touchdown with a late run being cut short two consecutive years. And I used to be a Ranger when I was younger.... :(

Schmid and Udell alternate so he's technically not a backup. My understanding is SV let Mac back into the game cause the scoring took place within 2 minutes left in the game.
Unfortunately, I used to be a Brahma in my youth....till I saw the light :D

Actually the scores occured at 8:00 min to go in the 4th and 1:58 to go in the 4th. Mac out yardaged SV 347 to 177 from the start of the 2nd quarter on. SV didn't backoff. A matter of fact with 5:25 to go and SV on Mac's 42 Hill went on 4th and 11 only to lose another 9 yds and turn it over. Up 28-14 and 5:25 to go and Hill didn't want to give the ball back because they couldn't stop Mac.

It's just amazing how often SV just barely sneaks by people they play. :D

If my back wasn't hurting, I would be rolling on the floor in laughter.
The score at the end of the third was 28-7 in the Rangers favor. I think SV did a good job in stopping Mac.

Redskins, you have never played organized football I'm sure. If you had you would understand "Momentum changes" that happen during the games and that game had changed momentum even if you don't want to admit it.
While most of the people at this site try to give honest opinions of the games and try to explain how the teams are doing, you seem to enjoy bashing Mac more then just giving facts about the games. I guess it allows you to post more times so you can see you name up on the board but really all your doing is letting everyone here know that you don't have a cule about the game itself.
We all know you hate Mac and would never give them credit but I have never seen someone with as much hatred as you have for Mac. What ever caused those mental scars, hopefully they will heal someday.
As far as the teams in 265a, they all have improved and are chasing SV, Judson and Madison This will make this a very exicting year for the district. This includes Reagan. Hopefully they can continue their succuess because it would be great for the school and the district.
Good luck to your recovery. :)

Has everyone really improved or is Judson, Smithson Valley, and Madison down a little this year?

I think a little of both.
Yes. The only truth to this thread is that Redskins88 has never played organized football.

Ah well thank you...I'm feeling much better.
No I haven't played organized football, and I don't recall saying that I said momentum didn't change. It happened with the game was stopped for the unfortunate incident that occured. It also changed during the Reagan game.
I enjoy joking with Mac....hate would be a little strong of a word. Considering I still have some good friends there.

I agree with Fan25 to a point. I think Judson has come back to the pack a little. SV seems to be right where they were last year. Don't know if they will finish as good as last year. I also think that Mac, Reagan, Churchill (until the Fanuzzi injury) and Roosevelt have improved their programs. Madison seems to have reloaded with a solid program again.

I agree Judson has come back a little bit. Unless Churchill has a good backup like Toudouze from last year, they may be done. Reagan has an advantage over Mac in the respect that they beat them. Madison may have a good shot in the top 3...
