Yeah, sorry, but I do believe the talent gap is so huge now - this may be the norm. The Rockies had TWO 300 hitters in their ENTIRE DIVISION - the NL West that they faced all year. Boston has two in a row in Papi and Manni.

Anyone honestly think the lowly Rockies could compete with any team from the AL Playoffs?

The rockies even made dice-k look good and that is pretty tough to do.

No bandwagon fan here at all I am an astros fan all the way but I will always cheer for the NL in the world series. I thought the Rockies had a good shot in this series but boy was I wrong. The Redsox were clearly the better team.

On the over hyped AL being so superior to the NL stuff. Look at the history interleague play and it is very very even. Goes in cycles. This year it was only 137-115 but the way AL fans talk you would think it was 240-5. The NL had plenty of seasons when they destroyed the AL in interleague play and nothing much was said? And everybody just ignored it last year when the NL's best beat the AL's best in 5 games in the world series?

And Sox fans should love the NL. Several of their best players were players they got from the NL. See Beckett see Schilling. Like I said these things go in cylcles and as long as these 2 leagues are still called the mlb and they still do trades with each other then it is going to continue going through cycles.

To the people making fun of the Rockies and how they are a sorry recent expansion NL team. Guess what? The Marlins started the same year and have won 2 world series in that same time span. See 97 over the Indians and see 03 over the Yankees.
