My iPod rocks. My iMac rocks. (My apple stock is definitely rockin') and now...
I've got an updated Mac OS-X Leopard coming in the mail this Friday. I'm geeked up.
I've resisted the iPhone as the little keyboard is too small for my fat thumbs and ATT/Cingular is on my list of companies I don't want to do business with. But, the iPod Touch is lookin' pretty sweet. I'm hoping they'll poop out a 32gb version though. 16gb is a lot, but not quite enough.
Yep, once Apple started using Intel processors and can run that occasional Windows app, I was hooked.

Yes the great fabricators of truth make some shiny products... if only they worked as well as they looked.

I'd rather have OSX over Vista.
I'd rather have OSX over Vista.
I, nor the overwhelming majority, would rather not have OSX over Vista.
Apples products are always crippled and never reach their full potential. My iPod touch came with NO APPS at all. I had to hack into the iPod and install the weather, maps, email, etc applications myself when they should have been there from day one.

I hate Apple.
I will never own any of their products, and refuse to do so.

When I went to put together some highlight DVD's for some players last season, my recently-updated PC (Core 2 duo, yadayadaydad) just kept crashing the various movie programs I was attempting to use. Gave the tricked out system to my son and bought an iMac (Core 2 duo, yadayadayada). It runs windows if I want and it runs OSX the other 98% of the time. FANTASTIC computer.

No, we just didn't want to keep going.
Apple is one of the last quality products America makes. It's probably not the best. That hasn't been invented yet. But, I'd rather support Jobs than Gates. Gates is a crook. Just ask the EU.

you're aware that Jobs used to fire people randomly at apple for no reason, and that he did need bill's help financially cause hes company was at a low before they rose high.

I'm sure Bill didn't mind, since Bill stole his ideas from Apple anyway.
Valuable lesson I learned in business school:
When in a job interview and you're asked which business person you most admire, don't say Bill Gates. You won't get hired.

Jobs is a ruthless liar who cares very little about his devoted buyers. Just look at how he treated early iPhone and early Imac adopters. It is pathetic to say the least.
Maybe you should do some research on what the EU does to Microsoft before you call Gates a crook.
The European Union fine MS for putting Windows Media Player on its operating system because they deemed it "unfair" to other competiting companies such as realPlayer, etc. They also forced MS to release versions of windows with no Internet Explorer because having I.E. built into Vista was "unfair" to companies like Firefox and Opera. Being a good businessman and creating the BEST product that appeals to the widest audience is only against the law in Europe.
See how far Apple would be going if they had the same ridiculous restrictions that MS face.
By the way check out this website to see how much money the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation donate each MONTH. Here is the link for the next time you want deem Gates a "crook." http://www.gatesfoundation.org/UnitedStates/PacificNorthwest/CommunityGrants/Grants/default.htm?showYear=2007
I sure as hell wouldn't say "Steve Jobs" if I am ever asked which businessman I admire. After his ridiculous Mac v PC ads I look at him as nothing more than a great fabricator of truth.
And don't even try to claim "Microsoft steals ideas" because that statement is absolutely laughable, especially coming from an Apple supporter. The iPod was a complete and utter ripoff of the Sony MP3 player they just, like usual, took someone elses idea and made it look better.

I don't care how much money they donate. Where did that money come from? Stolen ideas. We'll just argue about this all damn day long, though.

Isn't one of the reasons why people say that macs work so well is because they are not loaded w/so much stuff?
Also, I never thought to have weather/maps/email on my ipod. If I wanted that stuff I would probably by a Blackberry/iphone/etc.
I have purchased my ipods to listen to music and watch movies.

Feel this pain. I passed on Apple at $80/share. Watched it go to $150. Then bought it when it slid back to $128, sold it at $140. Watched it go to $190.

check the last apple thread u'll see u were wrong Microsoft was years a head of jobs. Microsoft was killing everyone so bad they had a monopoly filed on them.
beside When jobs was scraping his knee's crying to his mother Gates was working at an actual job fixing software issues at age 16 and sold his idea's after that jobs did nothing till he was long graduated from college. By that point and time gates had microsoft up and running.
And comparing Microsoft to apple is ******** A operating system vs a computer. Thats like me comparing a Cat to a 1969 Ford Mustang and saying they are the same.

One reason macs work so well is they control each piece of hardware that goes into their computers. They can write an operating system that only has to work with a couple of configurations. Windows Vista is written to work on so many freaking versions of hardware, they have to dumb it down technically a bit to meet the common denominator.
I'm not sure all of window's extra bloat-ware really does anything to it. I just delete all that crap anyway. Nothing speeds up as a result.

Ha, ha, ha... here we go again... Hey Dad, Leopard is an *** kicking OS... Installed mine around noon Friday and will spend more time with it this weekend... Then I'll start introducing into my client sites...
Just yesterday morning I was at a clients office and one of the new laptops - a Sony something or other wanna be MacBook Pro - was having problems reading code from the internet... Hmmm... Checked the Dell, fine... Checked the MacPro, fine... Checked the Server, nope not that... What could it be? Oh, it was Vista and the client's words were:
Client: "I hate this piece of crap. I just bought this. I hate Vista. It sucks. It's pretty but doesn't work. I should have bought a Mac. I'm going to install XP."
Me: "I think you're right. Sorry."
And to all my "gaming" friends... It's the INTERFACE stupid... This Cat will rule the MouSe...
