Where is the old Aggies " Wrecking Crew" Defense of old under Slocum? It is gone. I hate a bend but don't break defense.

I think Coach Frans days at Texas A&M could be numbered.. I know their going to give him another year or two put I think the clock has started ticking for him at A&M.

Well, the only thing I can hope for is that eventually get back to his roots:

When he left TCU, they had the #1 Defense in the nation
When he left Alabama, they had the number 1 or 2 defense in America.

But when we give up 211 passing yards in the first quarter to a slightly above average Colorado team, it seriously worries me. I can only hope we're much better by the time I make it to A&M.

c'mon, wide, was that really necessary, you are having a good enough day with texas' massive win over ou, just let the Aggies be...we punish ourselves enough.

I think you should really consider making a different decision

That's right Owl. I think maybe you should consider maybe Texas Tech at least. You'll be able to go to a couple of nice Bowl games during your college career.

A&M... I'm not so sure.

The only thing I add is this Colorado team is dang good -- they are on a roll and I think they give UT a game next week in A-town. But the Aggies stink this year - it's like they got thumped by Tennessee in the bowl last year and it just demoralized them - sad.

No thanks, not working at McDonald's is more important to me than bowl games...

Colorado plays too straight ahead to give the Longhorn defense anything consistent to worry about. Klatt didn't much enjoy his game against the Horn defense last year/ No one is going to stop Texas' offensive line or VY.

there is that typical aggie view of tech...my brother goes there and he never has or will work at mcdonalds...he almost got a job with the astros this summer and when he graduates in may he already has offers from some fine corperations in dallas or houston...his business management degree from tech should serve him fine...his friend who graduated last year is making 75,000 a year in dallas...so u go to tech u get alot of money depending on teh major...that said im not a true blue tech fan...i root for them when they play aggy and any team outside of our state...i can say the same for a&m and texas...i pull for them when they play out of state teams but when they play each other i guess u could say im on the fence

The aggy's are beyond brutal this year. It was obvious after the div1aa game.

I wish I could agree with you...but I can't. Lets face it, the Ags are aweful. Colorado is not as good as A&M made them look. I bet the Horns hammer them next week.

Scary thing about the horns, I don't think they have really put it all together yet, and they still beat the hell out of everyone. (OSU game almost got away)

If they really would have been clicking today, they would have hung 70 on OU.

lufkin -
im a national merit scholar and ill tell you right now unless you want to be a vet or a PETROLEUM engineer, tech is a better school than A&M. i mean honestly if you want to go into a technologically related career field you would either go to UT, tech, UT-dallas (really), or rice/trinity (if you can afford it or get a 'ship)

on another note, its not fran's fault, the guy can win, hes done it before, but before you give him too much crap remember where hes coaching at. it is so hard to build a program at A&M because you cant recruit. If you look east its LSU, north its OU and west(or anywhere in texas) its UT. OU is down, sure, but they arent down anything like this A&M team is. I mean it was a year ago that they were a respectable team, then they lose to baylor and just unravel.

Texas just cant have a let down and they will put away Coloardo with relative ease. Colorado is a decent team. They arent good, but they arent horrible either. Colorado killed aggy by throwing to their TEs and RBs. They did this for two reasons. One, CU doesnt have a WR on the roster that is worth the free sex he got on his recruiting visit, and two, the aggy LBs are so horrible that Jamarr Toombs could have caught a pass and rumbled for a good 30 yards... handcuffs and all.

Seriously, I havent seen a defensive performance that bad since the 77-0 slaughter in Norman, but at least that loss came to a very good Mobilhoma team. aggy was embarassed by a team with no WRs and a QB that wasnt anywhere near 100%. I'm telling you guys, the game of the year is going to be aggy at Tech. Aside from aggy's inability to win in Lubbock, Cody Hodges is good and the aggy secondary is... well, they're lacking. If the Leach feels so inclined, Tech could throw for 600 yards on aggy.

Tech does not shutout anybody!! I say Tech 77 A&M 28 What is scary is A&M always has good recruiting classes. They were in the top 10 this year. They have some talent but that is about it. I know if Lufkin kids go there they have talent!!

lol i know tech cant even shut out indiana state, but i was just drawing a parallel to A&M's other monumental slaughter vs OU
