Yeah this NS team doesn't seem any better than the past 3. They'll trip up somewhere. Either 2nd round against us or in the regional final. They're too streaky. Even though they beat DP by quite a bit earlier in the season they were losing halfway through the 2nd quarter in that game and looked very sloppy. They played the same way against us and Baytown Lee last year. One or two real good quarters followed up by lots of turnovers and no points.

I could see this happening too. I think NS will finally get back to the state finals, but not before going through some tough teams like Pearland, Cy Ridge or Dear Park, and Judson or Reagan. On the left side of the bracket, I see it being even tougher. Between Permian, Trinity, Arl. Bowie, Plano East, Plano, Rockwall, and Conroe...it is tough to chose a state representative from this side of the bracket. If I had to chose who would play in the state game, it would be Permian vs. North Shore with Permian winning by 6. However, I think Trinity will love to have a rematch after getting humiliated earlier in the season, and will give Permian everything they can handle. Trinity might actually come away with the win. Either team that wins will still have a stiff task against Arl. Bowie in the Regionals. OUCH MY BRAIN HURTS! THIS IS GOING TO BE EXCITING!!!:D And we are still 4 weeks away lol.

Nothing serious, they've just been heart breakers historically, with the exception of the 03 monster. After looking at that side of the bracket, though, they may roll into the finals. There are a few tough squads but nothing like on the other side. This year has been a little crazy but I think this post season is going to be insane.

I agree. This years team seems a little different than the last 3. They've opened up the offense quite a bit. It just might be the time for another deep run.

I'm not even saying Judson is an awesome team. I just think they have enough to beat Reagan, Bowie, and whoever comes out of Region 3 unless it's Katy. I'm also assuming that they maintain their pattern of playing against the good teams and not dogging it against the worst teams they play.

I'm not at all comfortable with these lofty predictions for Permian. There is no doubt in my mind they are better than anything "Mojo" for a long while. The only thing certain is we will go div.1. Friday night we have a supreme test. If we can beat Abilene then I would feel better up to the point of a third round game. I know of all past Permian teams both great and not so great. I don't say this team can't be one (great). But any team that has ever won that last game knows it's not all about Xs and O,s. It's been proven more than not that D-1 talent isn't even required. The special factor, I don't know about, is something the winners have and whatever it is, is not even measurable. I don't even think heart is the description. The only time you can see it is in the middle of the field in late December after the last gold trophy is handed out. You see it and then it's gone and then you get ready for next year. It's just something different. I think I recognize it in these kids but I'm really not sure.

Our secondary is better than anything NS will see all year. NS will not have much success in the passing game. Our run defense has not given up a 100 yard rusher yet (that includes Yobes Walker of Brazoswood and running machine Clear Lake) and will not for the rest of the regular season. I saw NS play against DP. They looked exactly like the NS team I saw play Baytown Lee last year. The same team that was supposed to destroy us. Mcginty has not seen the kind of pressure that Pearland will bring.

Like I said earlier in the week, beat Pasadena Memorial by 3 touchdowns and I'll say that this years NS is better than the past 3.
IMO if Pearland plays solid on both sides of the ball like we did against Clear Lake and the last 3 quarters of the Creek game then we can beat NS.

NS this year is a lot like the 96 NS team Judson hammered in the semi's. They have a good all around team and a very astute QB. Like you, we NS fans are not letting our guard down after the last few seasons so, if they make it to the finals it will be a very pleasant surprise.

Pland does have a good defense this year but I can assure you the stats in the paper mean nothing on the field. I'm not bragging on NS at all. I have nothing to say great about them until they go on the field and prove it. Pland -NS will be a good game. This years team has twice the offense last years team had. There is no comparison. They very well might but I'm not seeing excuses from us on last years loss to
Pland. The way I saw it, Pland wanted the game a bit more than NS. Yes,

the amusement of the pearland north shore debates never fails in seizing to amaze me, i was hoping we could wait til the week of the game because frankly pearland needs to focus on one game at a time we arent good enough to overlook this week next week or the first round of the playoffs. ANd if you think those north shore players havent been thinking about last years lost for the last 300 days then your wrong, rematches are always tough. I jus wish pearland supporters could respect the program north shore is, there had a similiar uprising that pearland had in goin from horrible to good to a powerhouse. I feel like there a notch above pearland in what they have accomplished. IMO the north shore matchup always scares me cause its really the tru test of how good a team that pearland puts on the field that year.

I agree. I'm trying to take it one week @ a time. This week I'm looking @ PASMEM! Wish I could be there. This team looks good to me and the team itself has exceeded my expectations. You might want to check the Plano East prediction. They could very well lose their last 2 games and miss the playoffs which would put Plano and Allen in Division 1 which will be very interesting.
