What's the breakdownon this game?
Cove is looking powerful and is making things happen quickly.
Waco has won finally a game so maybe they are on the way up. They have started 0-5 before and made the playoffs so we can not count them out just yet.
What's your thought??

COVE is the class of 13-5A everyone else is battlling for second. AMC is struggling with so-so teams and may lose to Heights if they play next week like they have. Bryan is hurting and Belton, Temple and Waco are just playing the season out at this point. Anything can happen but the fat lady is warming up on this season. Cove will beat Waco final 28-14 minimum.

this will be the quote from Jack Welch this week "Waco is the best 1-5 team in the state, if not the nation, they have a big line that plays hard, and a quick offense, I tell ya were gonna have our hands full tonight"
my quote " Cove 35 Waco 13" the Dawg Pound North will be rockin' and all 73 Waco fans can watch

Jack knows what he is talking about. But, you'll probably wear down that big line by the 4th Q. They really do have a lot of great football players on that team. We chose the 2pm start time because of many reasons, but one was that our coaches thought our kids were in better shape than their kids. They were right. We just didn't know we'd have to score 3 times in 7 minutes to show that advantage. The on-side kick was key. If it goes the other way, we don't hang their 5th straight loss on them.
They are playing for pride now, looking to knock off #1 and gain some area respect. A wounded Lion can be mighty dangerous.
Jack is right. Listen to Jack. He's proved himself over the last few years, right?

You never know man........especially with high school football. I said earlier this year that we would go 0-10. So, yeah the cards are against them.
But, they have gone 0-5 before in 1996 playing a murder non-district (Lake Highlands, Midland Lee, Arlington, Arlington Lamar, and Longview .......finishing district at 3-2 and entering the playoffs....beat Pflugerville and A&M Consolidated...and lost to Lake Highlands.
So, if Waco beats Cove this week...u gonna change your mind?
The year in 1999 (when cove went it's deepest in the playoffs) they were #2 or #3 in the state....came into Waco...and walked out with a pretty bad loss. It has happened before......

Super you are right, I just think that Cove will be ready this time. This game has turned into the Belton/Temple; AM/Bryan; Height/Shoe game for Cove, Welch has learned from the past, I don't think any of his players will be overlooking Waco by any means
I'm still going with 35-13 in a game closer than the score shows

I remember 96 Waco won 24-21 in last game, making playoffs and knocking Cove out of it's first chance in 30+ years to make it.....
It was 98 when Cove went deepest, losing to Midland Lee (Cedric Benson) in 3rd round, and we also lost to Waco 12-7, In 99 lost to Waco 24-7 (only reg season lose) and out to DeSoto in first round

Waco is 1-2 in district. Cove is 3-0 with AMC, Heights 2-1, 4 teams are 1-2, they got a shot

Waco will put up a so-so fight early, but Cove plays a great second half and wins 34-10.

Break out year for the Dawgs.
We are going to pu tup 40+ on Waco this year. Waco, may get to 14 and that is being generous. ONe thing for sure though, if they score the 14 points, that will be more then the number of Waco fans at the game.
JK
Dawgs gonna continue to do to Waco what they started with Temple.

Well said, people outside of Cove aren't seeing what us Bulldawgs fans are seein.. This team has the most energy, leadership, and ability than any other Cove team has had. If the O-line keeps up what they are doin, and the D-End's as well as secondary continue to play well Cove is gonna have a deep run this year. Garner continues to step it up and the unsung hero on D is Sascha Johnson our tiny little DEnd that is the fiercest of the Dawgs. GO DAWGS!!!!

At time the DAWGS show signs of brilliance. They can score quickly and often when needed and play a full 4 quarters. As long as they keep the engine tuned up we will be ok.
This is the best DAWGS team i have ever seen to date and i have lived in Cove sine 1972 until 1987 but followed the DAWGS every year since.
Rock and Roll baby, DAWGS are comming to town.
Who let the DAWGS out??????
