I really wish we could have this district back. Has to be one of the toughest districts. I miss it though. Great games and made for great playoff teams. just thought id put up a thread for comments.v:cool:

Tyler Lee, John Tyler, Lufkin, and Longview. Played eachother twice during district. Great games every week and most of the time a coin flip on who would win each game.

The UIL will not let the home/home hell return so you might as well forget it. Yes. I miss the great games, the East Texas district is dead forever unless some schools start growing.

Those were the greatest games ive seen pre-playoffs. 4 teams with history and respect for each other beating the crap out of each other week end and week out. not a single fan would of left those games.(

quick question...does anyone remember the other 2 teams that where suppose to be apart of this district before they pulled out???? it was set up for a 6 team district. but the other 2 teams appealed to uil due to distance.

Rockwall. The biggest objection was traveling to Lufkin. Desoto was put in one year (I forget the year) & appealed their way out. May have been the same year as Rockwall.
