From the Projected playoff Bracket...

Being that they Lost to Fossil Ridge Last night.

The winner of the Grapevine/Fossil Ridge Game next week is almost assured of making the playoffs.

unless colleyville heritage can pull off an upset of Denton Ryan, which judging by their game on thursday it is a definite possibility. Fossil Ridge seems to be in the drivers seat though, with games against Grapevine and Denton Ryan remaining.

Lets say it is SLC, DR, FR, and GV in the playoffs, will SLC go DI? What would be the scenario for that to happen? That would almost ssure a first round Euless matchup. What if Heritage goes and not FR?

How can 4 teams go from one district?

only three teams make the playoffs this year. If SLC, DR and GV make it, SLC will go D1. That is the only conceivable way that SLC could be in D1. I don't expect that Richland will make the playoffs.

I think he thought that the new UIL rule that goes into effect next year was actually enacted this year

If Trinity and SLC play in the first round, That would be a travesty. Neither one of those teams deserve to be out in the first round.

That would be a good argument for having 4 teams make the playoffs. That way the large school bracket would have teams #1 and #2 and no early exits for #1 teams unless it is a major upset.

I did , my fault. So basically, SLC, DR, and GV go, SLC goes DI. If no GV, DII?

more than likely unless a miracle happens and richland and either GV or DR make it

After SLC and DR - Fossil Ridge appear to be #3 in this district and would go D1. Grapevine have yet to play SLC and FR. Grapevine's 2 wins have been against the 2 poorest teams in the district.

Grapevine/Ryan/Ridge - are all in the driver seat right now for 2 playoff spots.

Is that seriously a new rule?

That would make things interesting for 6-5A...

The districts are going to be realigned after this year.

Ryan already beat Grapevine giving Ridge a leg up on them. If they lose to Grapevine this week they can still beat Ryan and have a chance at the playoffs. Grapevine however either wins this week or hopes for Ryan to beat Ridge and a little more help.

That's stupid. It's just yet another attempt to "give everyone a chance". This is football, the losing team goes home.

If they're going to do that, create a 6-A.
