Lufkins defense only gave up 14 yards of offense. Thats impressive considering the 2nd and 3rd stringers were in there the whole second half. Great job guys.

The D came to play Rich, but OR is bad. Slow, small guys trying to run a wing-T against Lufkin is more dangerous than kids playing in the street - fortunately no one was hurt though the qb got his bell rung. OR's fg (their kicker/punter is one of the best in district) came on a muffed punt return by our third team punt returner. OR got the ball on the 15, went backwards to the 20 and the kid nails a 37 yard fg by 15 yards.

OakRidge is the worst 5A team I have ever witnessed, they are a mediocre 4A level team at best. The score last night could have been easily 80-0, but Outlaw doesn't do stuff like that to other teams. By the way congratulations to Coach Outlaw on his 100th win at Lufkin. Most of the 17-4A teams ( Marshall, Kilgore, Nacogdoches and Jacksonville) in East Texas would beat this OakRidge bunch. The Lufkin JV could have beat these guys. It was embarrassing to watch how helpless they were on the field. What is amazing to me is they had actually beaten Montgomery in non-district 17-9.
Lufkin still has 4 tough games coming up with Klein, Klein Forest, The Woodlands and Klein Collins. I hope the Pack will be ready because games like last night doesn't help make your team any better.
