Such a shame. I don't know how the football team there is going to handle this, but at Judson if you are caught with drugs you're are off the team, no questions asked.

I wouldn't be suprised if the coach still let him play, although because of all the attention it's getting he might make an example of him so he wont look bad. The reason I say this is because the school he goes to is known around here for having loads of talent but the players tend to be undisiplined and usually there is some sort of bad incident that involves players from there.
The thing that gets me is that the amount of pot he had was not a great amount, had it been just a student you never would have heard about it, but since he plays football you have footage of him being arrested and processed at the juvenile detention center on every local station. While I agree that he should be used as an example the video of him in jail and such is just going a little too far in my opinion. He's already the top news, no need to have him on camera at his worst moment.

I agree with you on that Ram. What he did, no matter how much it was, was wrong. He should pay the consequences, but the media nowadays takes the attitude of "story first, who cares who it is" usually. They would show their grandmothers getting arrested if it meant ratings and a story. That is a shame though. This kid's life could be drastically affected by this. Or, he could pay the price and come out a better person. Who knows. I do hope the coach would discipline him though. Although, discipline usually starts at the home. Then the coaches/teachers should just strengthen that from home.

El Paso doesn't really produce much, in mold of Texas HSF.
And someone getting busted for pot, these days, is about as dumb as you can get.
