Just got beat by Utah at home 27-20

I have been holding back on my true feelings on this team this year because I will be playing with these guys starting in January and don't want my words to come back to bite me in the ***. But perhaps what I am about to say will motivate this team for the rest of the year and into the offseason. I don't want my 4-5 years on the team to begin at the start of the decline of a program.

The reason for our 4 losses this year is QB play. No other reason. Andy Dalton is the starter, but after 4 interceptions tonight and 25 incomplete passes, who knows how long this will be for? Marcus Jackson is the other option, who is a worse passer but better runner. Perhaps we need to recruit hard for a QB this offseason? This won't cut it. Wide Reciever isn't a strong position either due to the lack of a go-to guy.

Aaron Brown can't carry the offense by himself. Aaron Brown's injuries and playing hurt has been another plague for this team. Even though he is playing on a bad ankle he is doing decently. But he can't be a workhorse. No other running back has stepped up. We have resorted to throwing a 5-8 175 pound white running back, which is counter-productive.

Defense- good part about this team, but the loss of Tommy Blake has really demoralized this defense in my opinion. And even then the defense isn't too hard to figure out and beat. It's the same defensive schemes that ranked dead last in pass defense in 2004, so good coaching can beat it.

But thats the life of a non-BCS team. Once you lose one game, the rest of the season seems meaningless.

Please give me a reason to be optimistic about the rest of this season and next season when I begin playing for this team.I can't give you a reason. Their hype seems to be shallow. Once they get punched in the mouth, they seem to struggle. They put so much attention on beating BCS teams that other MWC teams beat them. The offense was bad most of last year, too.

Off Field issues (mostly Tommy Blake) going off the deep end. Plus youthful QB's is the big downfall for TCU this year.

Plus, the past few seasons TCU hasnt lived up to their hype overall. Their defense is pretty good but over aggressive and they get burned by teams like BYU and Utah and couple of others that use their (TCU) over aggressive defense against them. Mis-directions plays have killed TCU that past few seasons.

I still think TCU is going to have to work their butt off to qualify for a Bowl game this season.

TCU has been grossly over-hyped for a couple of years now. They've made their name off of beating some weak (at the time) Big XII teams and then doing very well in a crap conference.
