This is a kid I've been keeping my eye on since seeing him at the 7 on 7 tournament in College Station. A bright, humble kid with NFL bloodlines seemingly has everything going for him. Yet his stats don't seem to reflect how good he is (9 TD's and 8 Int's). I'll be curious to see if he and his teammates can get on a roll the rest of the way. Here's a nice piece that profiles him -

Anyone else wish we could keep him in state?

I believe he will definitely be playing on Sundays. But it's hard to be successful with a weak supporting cast. Luck and Burge is all that Stratford has.

His stats are not indicitive of his talent - he is the real deal for sure. His receivers are getting those balls right in the numbers where they should be and not so good at holding on all the time. He can run too - believe me, he can run!!! And he's got the size. We will see him on Saturdays and Sundays for a long time to come.

I watched him play last year in the playoffs at reliant vs CFalls and this kid was throwing on the run and hitting the receivers in stride. At one point in the game he had 3 players hanging on him and he still got a good pass off. Good luck to LUCK

Andrew is a real team player and at this point, with scholarship comfortably in hand, he could care less about the stats. In fact, he was never about his stats, period, before or since the scholarship offer.
I think the Spartans are trying to win as many games as they can with the talent they have available to them, and so this year hasn't turned out to be the aerial circus that we saw for most of last year when he was surrounded by a veteran offensive line and veterans in the backfield and WR corps. The Spartans are trying this year to establish a running game and control the clock as best they can and keep their defense off the field. It has resulted in lower scoring games.
Despite the "talent deficit" that some are pointing to, we've lost two games to quality opponents, both by less than a TD, both times with us nearly pulling out the win at the end.
Andrew's talent is beyond question and his stats are not of any concern to him. He just wants to finish the regular season 8-2 and get another crack at Cy Falls in round 2 of the playoffs just like all the kids do.

You make a good point - stats don't always tell the whole story. As far as I'm concerned he's one of the best prospects Texas has had in a long time and he seems to be the perfect all-american kid.

stratford has had some injuries on offense, on the line and his #1 and #3 receiver...and make no mistake defenses are gearing up to stop luck, whether its his running or passing...when they get everyone back they will be tough to stop

Andrew Luck is the real deal?!?!
water is wet,
I don't know about that. I bought some powdered water the other day and don't know what to add to it.
A. Luck is for real. I've seen him in the playoffs, 7 on 7, and at a regular season game. Impressive QB every time he plays. I wish his coach wouldn't have him run the ball when the game is in hand.
