We played pretty good at first, then got lackadaisical at the end. Good game, but we weren't at our best.

Advice: Be as lackadaisical as possible next week :D

There's a few kids at Mac i just really dislike...that's why I take pleasure out of them losing. But Mac has a knack for comming back. I guess when you're just consistently bad you get used to playing like that.

SV/Mac

Probably the hardest hitting game I've seen this year. SV is a very solid team. They came out and took it to Mac in the 1st quarter. On the 1st series Mac blew a cover and gave up an wide open 45 yd(or so) TD pass. Then they ran it pretty much down Mac's throat. Then to start the 2nd quarter SV made it 21-0 on their best drive of the game. On Mac's next possession, I witness what I believe to be the hardest hit I have ever seen (35yrs of watching football) delivery on the Mac QB (Schmidt). He had broke up the middle on a run and one of the SV players had tripped him up. It looked like he was going to fall forward and then he was able to get his balance back. As he was lefting his body up (his head had just gotten above his waste) he was hit head on by a SV player(not sure who). I have never seen a whip lash hit like that. Fortunately he seemed to be ok but he was air lifted back to an SA hospital.
Not sure if the hit and injury raised the intensity of the Mac kids but from that point on they played SV striaght up. Mac was able to recover a SV fumble and drove down and scored to make it 21-7. Mac then held SV and got the ball back and drove all the way down to the 5yd line with 1 min to go in the half but Udell over threw Richards in the endzone and SV had an int. to end the half.
SV came out in the 2nd half and marched right down the field to make it 28-7 and again Mac drove down to the SV 12yd only to have a pass go right through Westbrooks hands at the 7yd and into an SV players hands. Mac had gone on 2 straight possesions and totaled up 178 yds and had no points. Mac again held SV on each of their next 2 series and Mac scored on both to cut it to 28-21 with a little under 2 min to go. SV converted a 3rd and 12 to run the clock out.

Very good game but it didn't look like it would be in the first quarter. SV is a very good team and you SV fans should give your team a little more credit. Mac played hard but you can't continue to give up key opportunities in the red zone.

Like I said in the beginning, very hard hitting game.
