i heard from a few people, that a man in southlake is going to donate a 30 foot steel dragon to SLC to put in their stadium... not only is it huge but it breathes fire... dragon stadium would definitely be the hardest place to play is this is true...

LOL, Nacogdoches has one of those things! SLC doesn't need a Dragon to make them tuff to beat.

What?Would the fictional dragon play as the 12 & 13th or what?Don't be ridiculous. But, then again, I am sure some rich, bored people in SL would have "great" idea to make this proposed mostrosity. Now that we are classless , lets be tacky too.
what is your problem? do you just love to go around message boards and bash schools that are better than yours? I think that the real classless people are the ones that put down a town for no reason other than that they have a good team with good town fan support. Why don't you start talking more about your team than just putting down everyone elses.

If that is true that is going to be a great crowd pleaser. I just hope that it does not take up any seats because even though the stadium is new it is getting pretty crowded.

i think this is another of the traditional cinco de mayo fools day pranks. we are giddy about the stuff here in never never land. i wish we had 7 mil laying around, we could hire back all the teachers that have been let go and start teaching the things we had to cancel so others with lower taxes can have our niceties.

I heard that

i dont no about all that teacher talk..but i would like to see a 30 foot dragon..

The dragon would be cool, but it sounds like a joke. It doesn't matter how the guy wants to spend his money. In fact, I'd gladly give him my name and address to support some things I'd like to do! :D

The reasons for editing the posts is a nice touch to the board and bored!

You know, I can't blame them for being bitter. We might as well live in old Russia with rules like that. Imagine me saying you have to give half your pay to your neighbor because he doesn't make as much money. You might make more money because you work harder, are smarter, have more skills, or a skill that's in more demand. I like the capitalistic society where the rich win and I'm a middle-class guy.

To give a football spin on it, maybe they had to let a coach go because of the Robin Hood rule.

don't really affect Lufkin but that Robin Hood rule sucks! I laugh everytime I see A Lotto Texas commercial. That was the big selling point for the Lotto, It will all go to the schools to help our kids. It all goes to general revenue fund and very little goes to the schools! Just typical Texas politics.

Hey Clemens fan, since we don't have a game next year to replace LP why don't you and your HC get together with our coach and lets get something together for next season.

A 30 foot dragon is not that far fetched....i know that 30 foot train(engine,3 cars, caboose) is being built as we type....That will resemble the minute maid field train(smaller scale) that will be very evident at katy games for a long time.

for those of you wondering why a train...there is alot of history behind it here in Katy....and the way the football team has been rollin over most opponents the last ten years it seems fitting.

here's a link for those interested

ha...ha...OMG...that is classic.
Or maybe the way a train stops for a few minutes (last year)
and then vanishes really fast.

Sorry moderators...that last statement he made was corny.

our record speaks for itself bro....there is no debating that we roll over most that get in our way. Every now and then teams may beat us, but nobody WANTS to play us...you're about to be the charter member of a very small club that thinks the way you're thinking.

The K-train is just tradition

i respect katy in a big way but i seriously doubt coach outlaw is scared to play katy after lufkin played them in 2002 and 2003. you are right katy's record speaks for itself but i know teams like slc, lufkin, tyler lee, longview, judson, northshore etc etc are not scared to play them?? that is just a silly statement.

yeah the robin hood program is crap. typical liberal program that is unfair. just like taxing more then others just because they go out and made something of themselves and make more money. punish the successful and reward the lazy. of course you have your exceptions but not in most cases. ok i will stop there or it will turn political and this is a sport's forum. ;)

A giant steel dragon or an actual train...?!?...They both seem kinda corny to me. I don't like those blow up helmet things either, so maybe I'm just old-fashioned.

Sorry, this is a politics free zone. So far, in this thread, y'all have done a good job not letting the discussion veer off into the political abyss. Arguing politics on a message board is about as productive as Aggies and Longhorns arguing who has the better QB. It don't work...

hmmm...I better leave that one alone until Reggie graduates.

wide-e-wide,

Exactly, it's best left alone because, like a political "debate", neither side will convince the other that their thought process is wrong.

Besides, most people get into sports to get a break from that sort of stuff. People don't come here to read politcal ramblings and they never will.

You are right KT, Robin Hood needs to go and hopefully they will get it right. Hey Pack0808 since you feel that way please have your school district return the chapter 41 (Robin Hood) monies it receives. My district would like to keep our money to educate, pour into our UIL programs and our athletic facilities also.

I'd venture to say that any forum you throw up for us will be utilized. I can promise you that people would talk in a political forum, just like we talk about the other sports, colleges, and pro's. You get a fair amount of day-to-day discussion in here, Ktchamp.

All I'm saying is that we have always tried to limit the amount of political arguments. We have had plenty of feedback in the past that people don't want to read about politics when they come to our site. Occasionally, there will be a political issue that affects football and the normal stuff we discuss, which is fine, so long as people can have a civil and genuine give and take discussion.

Was referring to your comment about keeping out of politics and the very next post diving back into politics. You are right, we come here to support high school football - something that brings together people from all walks of life. I'd venture to guess dragon fans have mentioned Robin Hood more often than Tyler Lee, and it is getting more than a little old.

i did not even realize lufkin was receiving robin hood money is that true?? if it is true there is nothing i can do about it but i would give it back if i was the head of the school. i would not want any free hand outs from other's hard working money but that is just me. i just do not see how that is fair?? i guess it is the pc correct world we live in these days?? everybody must be equal and nobody can excel or it might hurt someones feelings. wait that is socialisim not capitalisim so what country are we in again?? lol

i never said scared to play katy...just that nobody goes right out and says that they really want to play katy....just like katy doesnt really want to play lufkin, slc, and the other top programs....but we will and arent scared to do so...nobody wants to face those programs if they can avoid it. Put it this way...would you rather play SLC or Waco with your season on the line, Longwiew or Lubbock Monterey...thats all that i'm saying

I know that last year my heart said that i wanted to see a rematch of Katy/SLC but my brain was sayin NO WAY!!!
