who thinks john tyler has achance against longview

i work in tyler and half the people think jt has a chance to beat longview this year. i think they are just wishful thinking since we have a weak district with lee being down and the mesquite schools never really being strong it just makes jt look stronger even the announcers for their games are saying longview better watch out.

It's seems like I'll be trying to be getting brownie pts. with the Admins. but having had an opportunity to observe the season so far the initial predictions of a really wide open season have been accurate. That being said JT doesnt have a chance in hell of beating Longview.

I've been hesitating to jump on the JT wagon, but I'd say CUJO is back. Barring any upset by Rockwall or North Mesquite, I think that's going to be the district championship game. AHHH....the days of old are back. It always came down to JT vs. Marshall, JT vs. Longview, Longview vs. Marshall for the championship. Can't wait for that game.

They got beat by 4a power Kilgore in ot and barely beat N Mesquite come on!! When it was 11-5A round-robin with Longview, Lufkin, and Lee, THAT was the toughest. Talk about a bloodbath.

Lufkin won 115a 2 of the 3 years but it was hell doing it!! The other year they finished 2nd to Tyler Lee in 2002. Longview finished 3rd every single time i believe?? That was a blood bath district straight up!!

Ok then you talked about how you played a 4A powerhouse team in Marshall and you beat them 28-16. Your buddies talked about how Marshall was state ranked and so they were part of your tough schedule. If I am not mistaken Marshall has scored the most points on your team out of all the games you played so far. Well you dog Nac and then dog us for not beating them as easily as you thought we should. Well if your so great and Marshall was so great how is it that Nac lost to Marshall tonight by only 8 points? You see it is little things like this that come back and bite you when you and your buddies make STUPID comments early in the season about another teams performance. But see all these little scenerios don't really mean much to me as they do you guys. You are good at pointing out who played who and how that team lost to another team by X amount of points and so on. It is so silly but then every now and then it comes back on you. And Kilgore and Marshall never put their 2nd string in like Lufkin did vs Nac when they gave up a score with 1:00 left on a 70 yard pass!! so the 27-14 is deceiving a little. Really a 20 point game. Both Marshall and Kilgore were in a dogfight until the end with their 1st string's in the game.

bleengreen....you are talking out of your #$#@#$. You must have forgotten that Mesquite went three rounds deep into the playoffs last year just like LV, beating Dallas Carter along the way. Also won the 5A State Championship in 2001 14-0 record that year. Don't talk about Mesquite schools until you get your facts straight. We aren't doing to well this year.....but if you want out of OUR district, please go. I have seen you talk about Mesquite on other threads....you have no class. :mad:

There is just a chance, and it may be an upset, but it is LONGVIEW man, and Longview wrecks on everyone.

Any team can win or lose on any given night. Of course, the Lobos are having a great season and I hope they are victorius, but I always try to remember that "Pride goeth before a fall!" I am happy for JT that Cujo seems to be making a comeback. This has always beens great rivalry and I wouldn't be suprised to see it come down to the district championship game. We'll see how the next couple of weeks go and then....... :confused:

Any team has a chance when the opening kick leaves the tee. However, if L'View brings their "A" game, this one is over by the half IMO. JT is stronger than they have been in years, but not ready to play 4 qtrs. with the
'05 LOBOS.
