Even though i know we played Iowa State and they dont have the best defense i was impressed with our offense today for a couple of reasons.
1. Limas being out hurts, however it means that the go to receiver is now Cosby and man he is absoloutly amazing. he has vacums for hans i mean he catches anything you throw.
2. Was it just me or did we kinda scrap the run today and by doing so put up more yards and points then we hae most this season.
3. Obagnaya cathes the ball very well id like to see him get more passess, along with finley.
feel free to add anything you feel i missed.

I agree with all of that. I'm actually going to give Greg Davis real props for maybe the 2nd or 3rd time ever tonight. Even though it was ISU, I really liked what Davis did with the game plan. This is how this team should try to play every week. Colt is rounding back into form. The only thing Texas didn't do well on offense today was get the ball to J Mike. There may be hope yet for this team.

texas averaged 10 yards a play today almost by running the ball sparingly at best. The definatly need to probably throw close to 60% of the plays

Davis wife probably told them their would be no Nookie unless he put out on the field.

lol then she needs to hole out for the next 6 years
i want to see Vondrell as our feature back, with Obugnaignasifnasia (not gonna look it up) as our power/tied for second back, and Charles used as a skatback the way they used Ramonce Taylor back in the day.

This is the second great game in a row Davis has called and he's not getting enough credit right now. He said after the Kansas State loss that he had given Colt too much control and he was going to take some of that control back and limit what Colt could do pre-snap. Since he did that, Colt has completed 75% of his passes for 622 yards and 6 TDs to 1 INT. He's taken away a lot of what Colt can do pre-snap which is forcing Colt to do a better job of going through his progressions after the snap and allowing him to find the best receiver. Before, he was reading the defense and had already picked his receiver before the snap. This led to him staring down receivers.
As for today, Davis adopted the mentality a lot of us have been wanting him to adopt... throw first. Use the pass to set up the run. Texas threw the ball 8 times today before attempting the first rush. Texas had 9 passing plays to 3 rushing attempts in the 1st quarter. That softened up the ISU defense and gave the RBs a much easier time finding holes.

davis made great strides in the ou game. that was his best effort sans vy ever. i'll hold my bonmots from the isu game, much like after the rice game. playing scrubs, regardless of the scheme, is not credible.

it was sarcasm, he should still be there. get it? do you? do you get it? huh?

Two good games in a row for Texas - one a moral victory -the other a partial victory. But, it's all good in the Little 12.
BTW - Chizik is in over his head.

Somebody is going to have to explain the "partial victory" concept to me.

Iowa State = 0.35 / Little 12 = 0.35 / Road win = 0.25*
I'll you give you a 95% victory - I'm feeling generous.

i would prefer lonny math. i bet he didn't have osu-sucks #1 on his poll. that is plainly and patently stupid.
