I'll keep it simple. If I say something about college football, you might want to consider entering into an intelligent discussion about my beliefs. I don't just flippantly say stuff about college.

I started the year saying Tech was better than 5th in the South.

I said before the year that Tech would be OK at WR and OL.

I thought the Tech secondary would have good pass defense.

I was waiting to see how the LB and DL would play, but was most worried about Lyle.

People didn't want to listen, but I told them Tech's defense wasn't what we saw in Stillwater.

You'll be hearing me talk about Tech more than just the next week!:D

Congrats to the tt lover Lonny23.The only reason they held Tech under 50 was because Leach took the air out of the ball. Tech spent the whole 3rd quarter trying to run the clock and get the wind in the 4th. He spent good parts of the 1st and 2nd running when he would normally pass. I mean Tech had a TD drive that was 5 minutes and they're usually under 2.

Keep in mind that Crab had over 110 yards on those 2 jailbreak plays and Tech really wasn't going to him and they didn't try a vertical passing game. Leach is saving up plays for later on.

I didn't say as much because the Mizzou talk won't be as heated.

I will be talking about the team throughout the year, though.

WTF? I just got the feeling Leach was being conservative to avoid the big turnover and loss of momentum. The ags were rushing 3 or 4 most of the time, so why not get 5-6 yards at a time? The Ags' defense was actually doing the opposite of what teams do when they load up the box versus a great RB. i don't think Leach held back anything. I think he is showing an improved patience in playcalling. He counted on great execution to avoid the turnovers. remember the first 2 possessions of the game were terrible, but he stuck with it.

This game was exactly what I wanted. maybe we didn't have the 3-4 TDs by Crab, but he did everything he could do to help the Raiders win. So did the rest of the guys. I'll take a dominating win anyday over the kind of stats we had at OSU, and a notch in the loss column.

no kidding. that was one of the few times i've witnessed leach responding to defensive schemes giving up the run, with well designed running plays and sticking with it. he usually gets too impatient. very dominating nail in the coffin.

here's Leach's comments on the subject-

"[The balance] is a little disturbing," joked Tech coach Mike Leach. "We will have to throw the ball a little more next time. But it was good to see other people stepping up and making plays."

ABC totally dropped the ball by not having a live interview with Leach.

I do think that Tech also had more of a focus on running to run the clock. It's almost like Leach knew A&M wasn't going to score on him so he didn't care as much to go all-out to score points.

Tech was specifically trying to run the clock in the 3rd. You could see it by how they were letting the play clock run down before snapping the ball. They weren't hurrying at all despite any of the playcalling.

I truly enjoyed the win. I only said something because we have Aggy logic of "Ha-ha, you didn't score 50" when they got beat by 28 and Tech wasn't trying to run up the score.

Wait till Tech has to play OU and Texas he will be taken off his high horse. I hope Tech beats OU, but I doubt it.

I'll be leaving DKR Memorial Stadium a happy man. I'll be looking forward for the Big 12 South title game the next week in Lubbock against OU.

I think Tech can beat UT, but I'm not so sure about OU. It'd be an OSU style win if they do... all offense.
