I love teaching at my school which is a Carroll ISD school. But tonight I'm very disapointed in the district. I go to Dragon Stadium, show my faculty pass, walk into the stadium, and go on down to my normal seats. I flash my faculty pass, and the security guy says I need the red pass to get down here. I ask him where do I get the red pass and he doesn't know. So I go back to the pass gate, and the guy tells me only Carroll High & Carroll Senior High Faculty get passes. So all of the teachers in Carroll ISD who teach at an elementary, intermediate, or middle school are not allowed to go set in the lower half of Dragon Stadium. No emails were sent out about this "new policy." They could have at least given us a heads up so we could have gotten to the stadium earlier. I got there a full hour before kick off but I still ended up sitting in the end zone. I liked the change of view for watching a Dragon game, but I did not like the reason why I was there. But back to the problem, who is the CISD administrator that decided where some CISD Faculty can sit and others can not. The district prides itself as being a family. Well on this night, we were a fragmented family.
Got a ticket and enjoyed the first 3 quarters. Didn't appreciate having to pay $3 to park at a high school game, but the team impressed as always. I believe there were plenty of tickets available on the visitor's side at game time.

thats weird, maybe its just a one time deal? since its homecoming and all, all the alumni and stuff were there, so it was a packed house, caught up with a few kids that graduated last year it was pretty cool

The guy giving the red ticket passes said that it will be like that for the remainder of the season.

what happens is people get upset in Southlake when they have to wait on line or don't get what they want. So to solve this problem someone complains and then they create some sort of heirarchal system in which either where they live, their position or the amount of money they have determines who will be able to participate. Look at the current senior high school parking lot. I am sure that the reason the kids were allowed to buy a reserved spot was because someone complained that they never got a good spot when they were coming late and they thought the people that could afford a good spot should be the only ones that have one. Season tickets for Carroll football games used to cost only $10-12 per game and now they don't. Why? Because someone got upset that even after the new stadium was built they did not have season tickets and there was approximately a four year wait for tickets. Why should the people that can afford to pay a lot more per seat not have tickets? So someone complained and they changed the system forcing many people that had owned the tickets for many years to give them up because they could not afford them. This is just one of the negative things about a town that has so many positives. The principal of the senior high school is a really nice guy and if you send him an email about it, maybe he will be able to get you some passes.

I don't know Dr. Presley personally, but I know some of the staff at CSHS and they all say he is a good person and they enjoy him as their principal. But the problem I have is passes being given to CSHS & CHS staff, but none of the schools in CISD was given this option. To include some staff, but not others. That is simply not right.

I understand what you are saying. A teacher or staff member of one of the two high schools must have complained. It also might have to do with the new senior parents only section which I really do not get.
