they've held their opponents scoreless in like there last 10 quarters...
Offense was moving the ball well tonight...
Beat John Tyler 20-0
North Mesquite this week.

I miss the Skeeters, wish they were still in our district. Those were some action packed games.

slow down there *****skeeter....JT is not very good
from what I hear you have a great defense but the O is not strong......you will have a tough time against Lee and Longview

Here comes the bandwaggon hoppers jumping back on ;)I was at the game and IMOP Mesquite didn't look that good. Only had 70yd rushing and 127 passing and most of that was in the first half. We just stunk up the field. 19 penalties for 148 yds and our o\c went away from what we do best & tried to run the spread and pass he just let the player down but we had to many penalties and still had a chance to win until late in the 4th (no excuses) we lost!!!......only beat us by 20 bad as we played :rolleyes: I pick North Mesquite to win if y'all play like you played Fri.

It's now 6 games into the season we are 1-6 and our offense continues to struggle and actually took a step back against Mesquite. On one of our possessions the Mesquite DC had 11 men in the box for 3 downs and we couldn't complete a pass and had to punt. The Mesquite safeties were stacked on the LOS all night showing no respect for our passing game. I'm afraid if we continue to run 95% of our offense from a spread formation we won't win a district game. I picked my LIONS to win this thing because I know we can have success with the run and I still believe.

My advice, make sure you don't have a one-way ticket when you come to LV or you may end up lost in the voids of a green-black hole. :eek: You're cordially invited but you may never leave. :eek: I can't speak for our team but from this fan's perspective, I am mad as hell... :mad: Think about it, someone (DC) had the walnuts to pick Mesquite winning this district knowing they had to venture down I20 to East Texas/LV... ;) Need I say more other than: Come on down...

The defense only allowed something like 13 total yards...:rolleyes:
I'd pick us over anyone if the defense keeps playing like they did friday...

you are in for a big surprise when you come to Longview. you may have a good defense but JT has a horibble offense(no offense JT guys) so like I said earlier you may want to tap the brakes a little

Hold on there partner.......Mesquite needs to step up the offense if they expect to win another game. How many times should they have scored? Not saying anything bad about JT but LV would have had their jv in by the third quarter. If Mesquite expects to compete they had better fix that problem. But, you are right about the defense they have been good. :Censor:

Can't be offended by the truth. These exact kids ran a totally different formation last year on JV and they moved the ball well with the run and pass. I can't figure out, why the change?

Same reason Garland coaches keep trying the spread rather than sticking with over a decade of proven success, stupidity.

I can't figure out, why the change?I agree with you Big Rod when we ran out of the off set I or our qb under the center we moved the ball well and control the clock. I felt good until Fri nite with the spread. I thought that our o\c looked at the films of the last few games and realize the we cannot run the spread and go back to our bread & butter. I guess that I was wrong....What the heck? we didn't need that off week or what happen in that off week ?Did he decide to start all over for the second part of the season? That spread and his play calling took a lot out me.We still have a chance if he get out of the spread I still believe in the power of CUJO See you at Horn I know that you will be there.

The Skeeters are good, but may be well advised to not crow about how good they are just yet - Longview and Lee will not be pushovers, and Mesquite has not have much success against either...

The Skeeters may only loose on in district, to Longview. I think they will beat Lee
