Final
Allen-41
Wylie-21
Allen's "D" played the 1st half great(28-0).
2nd half, "O" was totally flat. Wylie had 3 drives that covered a lot of yardage in few Loooooooong plays.
I will not criticize anyone or anything!

I was there and must say Allen had the better team, but know doubt the refs were from allen as well...lol craziest calls I have ever seen before. Wylie will hopefully be more competitive next year, not many seniors on this years team. Congrads Allen

Honestly, I'm not really that much concerned about our defense. It's our lack of discipline most of the time. The players should of brought their pillows onto the field with them in the 4th quarter because they were asleep through most of it.

great first half, we made key stops when necessary. Our defense stepped it up for the first half tonight. I won't comment on the second half they need to see the entire game through. but overall impressed.

I'm afraid to ask, but does anyone know if or when Jeremiah Williams will be back?

I'll take the first half as definite improvement for our defense. Jeremy Reeves is back, and even with a cast he had an awesome game. Could have had 2 picks if it wasn't for the cast. Bradlee Waddell steps in with a 16-124 yard perfomance for the injured Jeremiah Williams, another great night for a backup! Brown 257 yards passing 84 yards rushing and Buckner 114 yards receiving with 2 touchdowns, offense is still clicking even with a lackluster 2nd half!:D ALLEN EAGLES 6-0, HOW SEET IT IS!!!!:)

Good game last night, saw some improvement on defense but like some Allen fans have said, the defense needs to remember its 4qts, not 3. I thought the offense did great for having two of their best players out (Coby Jones, and Jeremiah Williams).

I know the forum is not to discuss injuries but Jeremiah Williams is out for the season

Random observations from last night's game (now that I've had a good night's sleep):
1. The Allen team that played the first half of the game last night is the Allen team I want to see more often. It's also the team that they're going to need to field each week from here on out. All three units (offense, defense, and special teams) were on their game. I don't really know what happened (or who to blame) in that 4th quarter, but I started having flashbacks to the game last week. Coasting is not an option, and the coaches need to be emphasizing this, I think. This week's mantra at practice should be: The game is not over until it is over.
2. Wylie and that funky formation they ran out there on fourth downs with a short field to kick was genius. Confused the heck out of me. It cost Allen two timeouts so they could re-group. The trick play seems to be showing up a lot more often this year. Credit Boise State, I guess.
3. Does Matt Brown really need to be running the ball as much as he is, and especially when Allen is ahead by at least two TDs? He took a couple of hits last night that your starting QB should not be taking, especially when your other starting QB is gone for the year. Hello?
4. Jeremy Reeves is back! Good game for a rusty soldier. He'll start getting those interceptions that trickled through his hands this week in the next game.
5. Allen Football 101 (2007 Season) - Throw the ball to Dan Buckner. Throw the ball to Dan Buckner. Throw the ball to Dan Buckner. Throw the ball to Dan Buckner. Why do they make it harder than they have to sometimes??!?
6. Wylie had some bad breaks last night, but nothing that wasn't called correctly. I thought the officiating was pretty fair and even, overall.
As I said, I thought Allen looked really top-notch in the first half, but it was clear they lost that focus and discipline in the second half. In many ways, that bothers me more about this team than the way they played last week against Berkner.

Ok, Let me see if I have this right?
Matt Brown Run Less!!!
Dan Buckner get more passes!!!
I'm good with that...
You sure our DB's shouldn't play further off the wide outs a bit more? :D
Cheers,

That is coaching and mimics the personality of the head coach. This has always been a concern of mine for 5 years. I HOPE this will "gel" in the next 4 games.:(
